Causes: Human Services
Mission: The Pennsylvania Child Care Association (PACCA), a statewide non-profit organization, exists to be a strong and effective advocate for quality early care and education (ECE) programs, and to give leadership and support to those organizations that assist the ECE community, families, and children in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Target demographics: PACCA’s growing membership includes nearly 1,900 center, group and family child care providers employing nearly 20,000 staff and caring for over 200,000 children aged birth through school-age. PACCA’s membership also includes Child Care Information Services (CCIS) who provide county-wide child care resource and referral services. Additionally, Associate members include businesses, consultants and other entities that provide a service or product to the child care provider community.
Geographic areas served: Pennsylvania
Programs: As the only state-wide organization specifically dedicated to child care organizations in Pennsylvania, PACCA provides information, networking, and educational opportunities to meet the needs of the early care and education community. PACCA represents the needs and interests of its members on the state and federal levels, especially as it relates to policies and legislation that affect child care and early learning. PACCA also provides a voice for its members on public and private work groups, task forces, and committees addressing child care and early learning. PACCA's programs include the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® PENNSYLVANIA Scholarship Program and cosponsorship of the Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education Summit.
