I have moved a couple times now and two of those times were to Camp Pendleton. When we moved onto Camp Pendleton the first time my husband was planing on getting out so we didn’t want to go into debt getting furniture, dinnerware and household goods. I went to the Rotary club warehouse and was able to be one of the first ones into the warehouse to get the things I needed. They helped load the heavy things into my vehicle and helped me strap it down. Fast forward a year (my husband decided to stay in) but he was deploying so I was moving back home. We gave away our furniture and everything big because we had a small storage unit. Mid deployment he gets orders somewhere else but will be in California for two months when he returns. So I planed to get back on Camp Pendleton on a Thursday to rent a U-Haul for one night, Thursday we emptied out storage unit and Friday morning we drove down to the Rotary club warehouse knowing we would be able to furnish our house for the two months we were on Camp Pendleton. Again they save the day and we didn’t go into debt spend hundreds of dollars on couches, tables and beds. My family really appreciates all the men and woman that make this possible. We were and are so lucky to have caring, hardworking and kind people that run this warehouse on Camp Pendleton.
Amazing place! Always super friendly volunteers and lots of good stuff to fill your home when you don’t have the means to do it!
A couple months back we decided to take a trip to the rotary because they’ve met our needs in the past. Our couch was being held together by duct tape which was not ideal. Going out and buying a new one it’s not always able to happen. We were able to replace it with a gently used one that we found at the rotary everybody was so helpful thank you for everything that you do!
The Rotary Club of Camp Pendleton helped us more times than I could possibly count. From children's furniture, to rugs, bedding, dishes, holiday decorations, even sporting goods! They always made sure my children left with at least 1 book, which never went to waste! Years later and many moves, we still own quite a few of those items, if we haven't given them to other military families in need. The volunteers were always so friendly and helpful. I remember them helping me put this 9x13 foot rug into my car. It was a challenge but we made it fit!
The Rotary has been of great help for my family. I've found baby stuff, my desk and dining table when I needed. Pots and pans, pillows. They're amazing, also their volunteers are so helpful and nice. (picture of desk, chair and lamp I got from the Rotary)
The rotary has helped me and my family so much! It is so wonderful to have people willing to help provide things for free to families who are just starting out, or don’t have a large budget, or who are growing their families. We have been able to get such amazing things for our baby that we otherwise wouldn’t have as well as home necessities which helps us to be able to save money with only one income.
I love this place, every time we moved lot of our stuff got badly damaged, also we always try to move with low amount of things. This place is amazing help me out to make my new home livable and beautiful for no cost. I got bunch of stuff already, couch, bookshelfs, chairs, kitchen supplies, blankets, decorations also I always find some handy crafts or projects to keep me busy when my husband is on training. If you just move in or got married and don’t have much money this place is where to go. Trust me you will love it
My husband and I have gotten almost all of our furniture from the rotary, and without it we would never have been able to afford the furniture we have gotten. I’ve also found some amazing baby clothes for our son! This nonprofit is so essential for military families, especially here in California where going to a furniture store to buy something new really isn’t an option for most of us. Cannot think the Volunteers of the rotary enough!
My first time at the rotary I was greeted and welcomed by some very nice volunteers. I found a dresser for my home that I had just moved into and didn’t have much at the time. More volunteers helped me load it into my Jeep. I am very thankful to be part of this community and have had the opportunity to fill my house with some Necessities to make it feel more homey.
Wonderful experience! I have lived on base for five years, and have just recently discovered this huge help to military families. Every week I bring other families who have recently PCS'd to Camp Pendleton to the Warrior Warehouse. Since we came to the base from outside the country, our furnishings were pretty sparse. I have refurbished several pieces found at the warehouse. Now, I'm volunteering myself, because the work they do for others is so inspiring.
I’ve received the product box from The Rotary on Camp Pendleton a few times. There is always so much fresh food! It really helps out with meals for my family. It is nice of them to donate their time and food to helping out families here on Camp Pendleton.
Many families aboard Camp Pendleton have benefited from this wonderful organization. My family has received some beautiful items that greatly improved our home life. The recent weekly donations of produce has been such a blessing, easing the burden of providing food for familes during this unprecedented pandemic. I'd like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to secure donations for our service members and their families.
Thank you for all you do for our military community❤❤
This place is amazing and the people are out of this world amazing♥️When we moved to Pendleton we had barely anything, we were able to get a couch a bed for our son and kitchen wares we needed it was such a blessing but I also loved the fact that we could donate back things our son outgrew like his bed and toys and clothes ♥️
We are so thankful for the rotary helping provide some furniture we desperately needed when we first moved to California. We are forever thankful for the weekly produce boxes as well they help our little family tremendously extend our grocery bill, and help eat some healthier foods.
Thanks to this wonderful organization I was able to complete my homeschooling room for my 3 children. The ladies working over there are really sweet and helpful to everyone including my self. I thank them or the selfless work they do for our military community.
The Camp Pendleton rotary has done so much for our community. From the warrior warehouse to the produce giveaways to the clothes and diapers everything has always been so helpful and greatly needed! Thank you Rotary!
Thank you very much for helping military family. I love fresh vegetable box I received ❤️ All of my friends and neighbors were happy with this special gift.
The warrior warehouse run by the community service fund on Camp Pendleton has been such a blessing to our family. We’ve gotten a couch when we were sitting on lawn chairs. I’ve also been able to get home goods like silverware, sheets, a comforter set, and a coffee pot. Thank you for all you do for our active duty families!
Our family had never heard of the Warrior Wear house until this great spouse Arika said to go there if we were in need of furniture and house hold goods, well we're so blessed for them and all the great hard work they do! Without them we wouldn't have a furnished house and sliver wear, they are truly a blessing !!
I have nothing but appreciation for The Rotary. The distribution of the fresh produce by Arika Ferguson has been a wonderful experience. She always follows protocol by wearing a mask while interacting with the families and practices social distancing.
My daughter’s dresser broke when we PCS’d to Camp Pendleton. Thankfully the Rotary had a dresser that worked for us. It needed a little paint to touch it up and it fits perfectly in my daughter’s room.
The fresh produce every week is a god send. Our produce section at our stores are not the greatest and this helps us out a lot!
There aren't enough words to express my gratitude to such an amazing and helpful organization. We have personally benefited from the Camp Pendleton Rotary after my husband had back surgery and they gave us items to help my husband during his recovery that we would not have been able to afford. I didn't physically have the strength to assist my husband during his several month recovery and I didn't have anyone to help me. I will forever be grateful to them for providing us with several items that made it easier for husband to get around as well as items that made it easier for me to be able to assist him. Thank you!
My experience was amazing! First time going and everyone knew what their job was. I think it’s great that this is available for military families who need help. I got what I needed and will definitely be going back if I need anything else. As for the others who want to abuse this great opportunity-don’t ruin it for the ones who actually need it.
When my husband and I first got married we had NOTHING.... Just left home and far away from family. They helped us soooo much. We appreciate all the donations.
