I am the Director of Children's Programming at a non profit downtown and Pebble Tossers volunteered at our big Back to School Bash. We handed out over 460 back packs to kids at the shelter and in the community and the event was a huge success. The Pebble Tossers have helped for two years in a row now and they are absolutely wonderful. The volunteers came in with a helpful and positive attitude and worked hard for the entire event. The even worked hard to help breakdown the even and clean when a few other volunteer groups had already left. I would highly recommend working with them. They are wonderful.
I had the opportunity to volunteer with Pebble Tossers to serve a holiday meal at a local senior home, and I can honestly say it was one of the most heartwarming and rewarding experiences I’ve had. From the moment I signed up, the volunteer process was incredibly organized. Communication was clear, instructions were thorough, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
What really stood out to me was the warmth and friendliness of the staff—not just those from the Pebble Tossers team, but also the team at the senior home. They made every volunteer feel welcome and appreciated, creating a positive and inclusive environment that made it easy to jump in and help.
Serving meals and spending time with the elders was such a meaningful way to give back. Their smiles and stories were unforgettable, and I left feeling uplifted and inspired. I look forward to volunteering again!
Volunteering with Pebble Tossers has been a rewarding and meaningful experience. One of my favorite projects was reading to cats at a local animal shelter. This simple act helped ease their anxiety, encouraged socialization, and supported their chances of adoption. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for the small but powerful ways we can support animal welfare.
My daughter works for Pebble Tossers; I love the name and the image it creates,the circle ever widening. I happened to volunteer one time with her at a senior living facility for a Thanksgiving dinner and there were a few volunteers from Pebble Tossers. They took amazing care of the seniors welcoming them, waiting on them, talking to them about their family, etc. I felt very proud of my daughter, working for a team like this one.
Last year my friend and I had the pleasure of doing makeup for teens and young adults for their special event with Covenant House. This experience was coordinated through Pebble Tossers, by way of Alysha A. It was such a wonderful experience overall. I truly enjoyed interacting with the youth and hearing all about their life stories. They were so full of life and joy! I was so happy to have spent my day with them. Overall, it was refreshing to hear about their life perspectives and what the event meant for them. I would do it again if the opportunity aligned with my schedule! We joined Pebble Tossers as a means to find organized volunteer opportunities. We were pleasantly please with all of the opportunities and enthusiasm of staff members to get these kids involved and excited. What a blessing it was for us to find Pebble Tossers!!

Pebble Tossers is the epitome of a youth nonprofit. Their mission of empowering youth to lead through service, is the true definition of leadership. The youth involved at PT have the opportunity to help others their age develop and perform as highly as possible - all by showcasing a servant heart.
My daughter who is a part of the Pebble Tossers Teen Leadership program, got an opportunity to work on a project to help the refugees from Afghan. It was amazing to see the opportunity these kids get and the difference they can make in the world. They raised funds to provide the refugee families with items like kitchen utensils, towels, soaps, body wash, care packages, towels, school supplies and other hygiene products. They spoke to the refugee women and children and encouraged the children to enroll in school and to become a part of the student council. With the help of the translators they even tried to convince the women refugees to take English classes in order to improve their living conditions and find themselves a job and to have a better life. I love how Pebble Tossers lead and encourages the youth of our nation to build a better tomorrow.
I had an absolute blast working a braves game as a 50/50 raffle volunteer. I don’t see why more people aren’t doing it. It was fun, easy, and makes me want to volunteer with them again.
We were introduced to the organization by friends when my daughter (who’s now in college) was in kindergarten. It’s AMAZING! We’ve volunteered with them for years! My children have volunteered with the elderly, moms in need, the homeless, they’ve help with forest management and clean-up - the list goes on and on! It’s built in them a love of serving their community.
They’ve enjoyed working with Pebble Tossers so much that they’ve all participated in their Teen Leadership Program, which trains them to be leaders in their community.

I struggled to find opportunities for my young daughter to serve our community. She wasn't old enough for most projects and it was difficult to find volunteer opportunities that resonated with our family. Until I found Pebble Tossers. PT makes it easy to find age-appropriate activities in a variety of cause areas all over town. And, it consistently encourages a service mentality for my daughter. I highly recommend a membership!!

Our family found Pebble Tossers in 2020. We were climbing the walls and looking for a safe way to do some good in our crazy upside-down world. A friend asked us to come with them to help cleanup a local park. We said yes and never looked back. Since this first volunteer effort, my teenagers have both become active participants in the Teen Leadership Program and the whole family loves taking part in the many volunteer opportunities presented. Our only regret is that we didn't discover this amazing group when our kids were small.

My family and I came to a Pebble Tossers activity afternoon to make dog blankets for shelter dogs, and thank you cards for veterans. Each project was well suited for my 7 and 9 year olds to feel like they were making a difference in the lives of others. They were able to use their creative energies and enjoy themselves while doing something very thoughtful for others. We have since been to many events. They are well run, creative, and wonderful opportunities to help the community and give of your time and talents through your own interests. Pebble Tossers also has a very user friendly website and are active on social media so I know if I have a couple hours I could venture to a program and work with them at the drop of a hat. Makes it easy for my busy schedule.

Pebble Tossers is an all-inclusive nonprofit organization that helps people all over metro Atlanta. The organize their own service opportunities and also bring volunteers to other organizations already doing service. In addition to service, they also have a program to help teens become better leaders within their communities. I have known Jen Guynn, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Pebble Tossers for over 17 years and have followed and volunteered with Pebble Tossers since its founding in 2008. Pebble Tossers is a great way to put kids in touch with service projects. My son and I have really enjoyed how easy this organization makes it to give back to the community.
We have served two ministries through Pebble Tossers. Our family periodically assists with the Sunday breakfast sponsored by Agape Way. We last helped on Father's Day and my husband distributed gently used clothing and new shoes to many of the participants. I have attached two photos from that day.
We have also participated in activities with the seniors at A.G. Rhodes. We helped with playing bingo and passed out snacks. After the game was over it was simply nice to talk with the residents and get to know them.

I am writing to express the gratitude of the Big Trees Board for all hard work put forth by the Pebble Tossers volunteers. Big Trees is such a special place – a hidden gem to be sure. We cater to the intersection of nature and nurture, where a walk in the woods can truly calm the mind and sooth the spirit.
We are grateful to John Ripley Forbes, who created Big Trees for the express purpose of providing a passive nature preserve for the community. Mr. Forbes entered into a public private partnership with Fulton County to protect Big Trees from development. However, we are not a city park and therefore receive limited financial support from the city of Sandy Springs. That is why Pebble Tossers provides what we absolutely need the most….volunteers!
The fruit of your labors are everywhere……the entrance beds have been weeded and look fabulous. The lower trails have been mulched and groomed and look extraordinary. The split rail fence has been repaired and once again sets a charming tone. All of this took many, many hours and we so appreciate your efforts. Each and every volunteer makes a difference, and your cumulative contributions have done so much to make Big Trees shine. I've had the pleasure of working with Jen (and her team) on some business development, brand strategy, and marketing+comms planning over these past few months. on OCT 16 we visited with seniors and did a pumpkin activity with them. the organizers we're friendly and explained what to do and not do well. I learned a lot about caring with this experience. We learned about what went on here in Atlanta back in the day that I never knew.

Our students at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School have not been exposed to the idea of service to others like in most Catholic, college prep schools. Pebble Tossers generously donated their time and expertise to help us develop our first Service Day. As a Jesuit school we foster the idea of 'men and women for others'. We could not have done that without Jen Guynn and Pebble Tossers. This is a great resource for any school and I would highly recommend partnering with them!
Pebble Tossers has been a fantastic organiztion for my community. I am an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator in Buckhead for an Assisted Living Community and Pebble Tossers reached out to offer opportunities for our residents to interact with children. They have been phenomenal in thier service. They have showed up in droves with awesome kids that have a friendly and giving spirit. They bring all thier own supplies and I couldn't be any more pleased! Can't wait to have them back!
Pebble Tossers made it so easy for me to help my 6 year old engage in service to others. They made arrangements for us to interact with senior citizens at an assisted living facility. My son and I were able to talk to the residents, help them make a patriotic craft, and serve them a snack of cookies and lemonade. The team from Pebble Tossers were amazing. They had all of the craft supplies and gave clear instructions for us. It was fantastic.
Pebble Tossers is a unique non profit organization that serves as a vital link between our communities that need assistance and support, to youth and their families that are looking for ways to give back to their communities. The organization has quickly grown in membership over a very short time, indicating a great demand in the Atlanta area for an avenue for volunteers to learn more about volunteer opportunities in their communities. What better way to show our youth how easy and effective it can be to give back to those around you.

I needed to complete some service hours and didn't have much spare time between work and school. Pebble Tossers, and Jen Guynn worked with me so I was able to get it done! I also learned a lot about homelessness and child abuse in the process which really opened my eyes. All the research that I have done makes me want to volunteer more, on my own time. Overall, an awesome experience!

We have volunteered with Pebble Tossers several times. It is a very family friendly organization and a wonderful way to spend family time and teaching your children what it means to be a good citizen of the community. My son volunteered with Pebble Tossers this weekend to visit with the elderly. This experience for him was wonderful. The staff kept the afternoon moving along by being well prepared and organized and offered suggestions to him on ways to engage the elderly in conversations. We look forward to participating in more Pebble Tossers service projects.

Pebble Tosser is a great organzation. They keep you informed of the lastest events serving the community. They have a great website that is user friendly and always up to date. I thank PebbleTosser for giving me and my family the oppurtunity to work with them to help others organizations in need. We got a lot out of the 7 Bridges to Recovery feed the homeless on Oct. 12, it was a humbling experience.
The folks at Pebble Tossers are amazing. Every event they host that we have participated in has been exceptionally well organized. Each event has been great to bring the whole family along and has allowed us as a family to easily find ways we can help "give Back' to the community.

I have loved my time spent with Pebble Tossers as an intern! They are very committed to their mission, and make sure everything they do is family oriented. From the youngest child to the oldest adult, there is something everyone can do in a Pebble Tossers service project.
This is a wonderful charity that helps promote volunteering not just for kids but for families. Bringing families together to tackle service projects together builds a stronger foundation for kids to grow upon. I love the idea behind this organization, especially because they do all of the hard work finding places to volunteer. Pebble Tossers provided a group of volunteers for our Dunwoody Friends of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Run For Your Heart 5K last fall. It was a great resource for us to tap into to recruit young people to help out at our event. I love the volunteer opportunities provided by Pebble Tossers - my 12 year old son has really enjoyed the times he's volunteered - Pebble Tossers just makes it enjoyable! The number of charities that are served by Pebble Tossers volunteers is simply amazing - they have really made a huge impact in so many lives - both for the receipients and the volunteers.
I volunteered at pebble tossers for the past two years and it has always been and extrodianry experience. It is a strong family oriented orginization. It is great for kids my age because we are always in need for service hours. Pebble tossers is a fun way to get the amount of hours you need. There is a perfect variety of things to do at each event so that many ages can participate in at least one activity. It is also fun because you can pick an activity to do with friends which makes it even more enjoyable. I love pebble tossers and will continue to do it.
Pebble Tossers is a great non- profit because there are only 2 fabulous women that run this organization. They spend hours of their own time filing the needs of the community. Also, the Pebble Tosser site makes finding a volunteer opportunity easy as well as a central place to "bank" your volunteer hours. The saying "is it is better to give than to receive"- pebble tossers shows the ripple effect from spending time in service helping others will hopefully continue the simple acts of kindness.

Pebble Tossers I so awesome! I went to the site and found 4 fun projects for me to do in 5 mins! Having all the contact information for the organization I wanted to volunteer for right there made it so easy to get a project going. Also Pebble Tossers hosts many projects of its own several times a year. The projects are always fun and I learn something new at each experience.
