The volunteer work that we do with Agape on Sundays has been such a great life-lesson for both of us!
We see that only a few circumstances can change your life. Thank you for letting us be of service!
As a non-profit, Pebble Tossers keeps a great listing of volunteer opportunities so that you can access all available dates for needed opportunities. It also makes sure that the volunteer opportunities are not "sketchy," unsafe for your children or yourselves, so that you can volunteer without unease.
Pebble Tossers is a great way to put kids in touch with service projects. My son and I have really enjoyed how easy this organization makes it to give back to the community.
We have served two ministries through Pebble Tossers. Our family periodically assists with the Sunday breakfast sponsored by Agape Way. We last helped on Father's Day and my husband distributed gently used clothing and new shoes to many of the participants. I have attached two photos from that day.
We have also participated in activities with the seniors at A.G. Rhodes. We helped with playing bingo and passed out snacks. After the game was over it was simply nice to talk with the residents and get to know them.
Pebble Tossers is such an impactful and passionate org. They have SO MANY opportunities for kids and families to connect with different cause areas. Their projects are always well organized and fun. I'm so thankful to find a nonprofit like this to volunteer with and help my son grow to have a lifelong love of service!
Pebble Tossers has helped connect our family with service opportunities we wouldn't have otheriwse found. Pebble Tossers' projects have been meaningful and impactful, helping our kids use their talents to serve others. We are so thankful for this wonderful organization!
The Pebble Tossers is such a great organization and a wonderful partner. We often hear from volunteers that it's very difficult to find service opportunities for children. Pebble Tossers fills the much-needed role of coordinating volunteer events specifically for young people, creating meaningful learning experiences for their participants. They are an ongoing volunteer group with us, helping to maintain a public outdoor amenity. They are one of our most dedicated and consistent partners, and we can count on them to self-organize their own events and host other youth volunteer groups when we can't accommodate them. I highly recommend volunteering or partnering with the Pebble Tossers!
I am writing to express the gratitude of the Big Trees Board for all hard work put forth by the Pebble Tossers volunteers. Big Trees is such a special place – a hidden gem to be sure. We cater to the intersection of nature and nurture, where a walk in the woods can truly calm the mind and sooth the spirit.
We are grateful to John Ripley Forbes, who created Big Trees for the express purpose of providing a passive nature preserve for the community. Mr. Forbes entered into a public private partnership with Fulton County to protect Big Trees from development. However, we are not a city park and therefore receive limited financial support from the city of Sandy Springs. That is why Pebble Tossers provides what we absolutely need the most….volunteers!
The fruit of your labors are everywhere……the entrance beds have been weeded and look fabulous. The lower trails have been mulched and groomed and look extraordinary. The split rail fence has been repaired and once again sets a charming tone. All of this took many, many hours and we so appreciate your efforts. Each and every volunteer makes a difference, and your cumulative contributions have done so much to make Big Trees shine. So on behalf of the Big Trees Board, and on behalf of all who come to enjoy Big Trees every day, we salute the mission and vision of Pebble Tossers, and thank you for being a big part of what keeps Big Trees beautiful and special!
I've had the pleasure of working with Jen (and her team) on some business development, brand strategy, and marketing+comms planning over these past few months. I have also served as a volunteer a couple of times through the Pebble Tossers organization. I could say an infinite number of great things about the organization, as well as Jen. Jen is an amazing leader who has started this organization with the full intention to reshape and redefine what youth development means within the nonprofit sector. Their mission focuses on youth development and creating a heart for service within youth. The way they do their work and their largely connected network of non-profit partners is unparalleled. Truly. Volunteering through the organization was a great (and very seamless) experience as well. I would recommend Pebble Tossers, and Jen, to anyone ... anywhere. It has been a privilege and honor to be a part of some very exciting new announcements and changes coming later this year!
Pebble Tossers is an incredible organizations that helps set up an easy way to give back to the community. If you want to give back and don't know where to start Pebble tosser is the place to go! Everyone involved is always in such high spirits. They truly just want to help out the community and make a difference in a positive way.
I had a great experience with this organization. Every board member with whom I interacted with was very friendly and helpful to make my time served that much better. I helped with the set up of a charity event as well as completed an administrative spreadsheet to aid people with information on how and where to donate their unwanted items. I highly recommend this organization to anyone looking to volunteer and better the community.
One of the best Nonprofits in Atlanta. Pebble Tossers coordinates volunteer experiences for families, teens, & schools. If you have tried to volunteer and been frustrated with orientations and paperwork- use Pebble Tossers! This is your fast pass to amazing volunteer experiences!
Pebble Tossers is such an amazing organization for such a great cause. It's really helped schools around Atlanta incorporate service into their curriculum.
I have done multiple service projects with Pebble Tossers and all of them have made me see the good in people. While doing these projects, I also see Christ through the people I with with and for.
I loved working with Pebble Tossers. It was an eye opening experience with great people willing to serve. Through this nonprofit I had opportunities to help feed the homeless and help provide for an event that benefited a young man with cancer. I learned a lot about myself and my community through Pebble Tossers and I will always be grateful to this non profit organization.
Our family has been working with the Pebble Tossers Team for over four years and they are by far the best run and most compassionate group of people you will ever work with. As parents, we wanted our kids to grow up understanding that we all need to get involved in making our community a better place for everyone and what better way to do that than volunteering. Pebble Tossers always has fun family friendly ways for all of us to get involved and the kids always leave asking when we can volunteer again.
Pebble Tossers is one of my favorite non profits. They offer opportunities for kids to volunteer in the community. I've always loved volunteering but once I became a mom I had a hard time finding a place that I could volunteer with my daughter. I've worked with Jen and pebble tossers several times. They are wonderful communicators and all of our volunteer opportunities have been positive experiences for the kids, parents, and people we were serving. I'm so glad my daughter's teacher connected me to pebble tossers and I highly recommend working with them.
