I was threatened by a "Certified Christian Conciliator" who was affiliated with the Institute of Christian Conciliation, a part of Peacemaker Ministries. I had to hire an attorney to protect myself, changed my phone number, and filed an official complaint against this person's professional license. The ICC would not even uphold their own so-call "Standards of Conduct". They are a joke!
As a pastor and professor, I have been acquainted with Peacemaker Ministries for many years. Not only have I been trained in their materials, but I have also taught it numerous times in my church and school. I am convinced it is one of the most important ministries that exist today for both Christians and non-Christians alike who struggle with conflict resolution. Time and time again I have found that their gospel-centered and grace-motivated approach is the only long-lasting solution to difficult problems. I cannot thank Peacemaker enough for all that they are doing to bring true peace where it is needed.

I got acquainted with Peacemaker Ministries 15 years ago when I used The Young Peacemaker curriculum to teach my elementary school child about how to deal with conflict. Since then, I have been through their Conflict Coaching training and other seminars. In my job at another Christian organization, I found the training and Peacemaker materials very useful in helping people deal constructively with conflicts. Along the way, I've occasionally called Peacemaker Ministries for help with a sticky conflict situation and received professional, practical and very effective guidance from an experienced staff member. I've been a donor to this organization for the last 12 years and will continue to make it one of my giving priorities.

The Institute for Christian Conciliation (ICC) is a division of Peacemaker Ministries: www.peacemaker.net/ICC In 2011 I was threatened by a Certified Christian Conciliator™ who was employed by an agency that provides 'Christian counseling and mediation services'. Another Certified Christian Conciliator™ assisted her in composing the threatening letter. Because of these threats, I changed my phone number and hired an attorney. The ICC has a very detailed Standard of Conduct for Christian Conciliation: www.peacemaker.net/site/c.nuIWL7MOJtE/b.5392257/k.7C40/Standard_of_Conduct_for_Christian_Conciliation.htm I filed a complaint against both staff members with the ICQ alleging that they broke 3 standards of conducts. But after months of deliberation, an administrator of the ICC could find no fault. My advice to you: be very wary of dealing with the ICC or Peacemaker Ministries.
