I am really interested in adopting another horse. How do I e-mail Victor? I am interested in an Arabian, even a mix and a Paint, hopefully between 2 and 10 years old,, W could foster them as well..
Great rescue with great volunteers working to save the lives of abused and abandoned horses and retrain and re-home them.
I board my horse at their sister barn but I go visit the rescue, across the street pretty much daily. They do such a great job for these poor abused, abandoned and forgotten babies. All the volunteers are so dedicated and do whatever it takes to make the lives of these babies better and more comfortable until they find their forever home. It is truly a labor of love for Victor and Laura. I know it sounds cliche, but they truly do love and care for all these horses and they have dedicated their lives to saving as many horses as they possibly can. It is truly a family unit the rescue has created. I've never seen a more dedicated or close knit group as this rescue is. Please help! Horses are expensive to feed and to maintain. Every penny helps and the folks at PRR truly appreciate any donation or support they can get. It's a great rescue with great people. People with hearts as big as the horses they dedicate their lives to save and protect.
I adopted my horse from Peaceful Ridge Rescue 3 years ago when she was 2 years old. This is heaven for me here. They are the ONLY horse rescue I have ever been to that REALLY puts horses first and REALLY does whatever it takes to truely help horses , rehabilitate them and find them homes. I know what Im talking about because Ive seen quite a few other rescues and barns! We are a true family here and its home for horses as well as us humans that love them. God bless the owners, staff, coordinators and volunteers of this place. Its one in a million.
Volunteering with Peaceful Ridge started as a way to spend some time with horses and meet new people in a new city. What I found additionally was a family, a life changing experience, and a forever passion. The volunteers and staff here are so selfless and fun and knowledgable. I've since moved away (again) but I use the things I learned at Peaceful Ridge all the time at my new horse rescue, and I am beyond thankful for the time I spent and people I met at Peaceful Ridge. They're an amazing organization.
I was lucky enough to witness the birth and growth of Peaceful Ridge Rescue. I watched horses from all sorts of situations enter a healthy environment and worked hard alongside others to make sure these horses flourished. It truly is an amazing experience to be able to help these poor souls recover from whatever unfortunate damage they encountered before Peaceful Ridge Rescue saved them. And quite honestly, I owe Peaceful Ridge Rescue my life. Without PRR, my skin would glow a sickly pale white for fear of leaving the safety of hiding under the bed, my unfortunate fear of social interaction would be astronomical in comparison to what I deal with today. Everyone involved with PRR is totally understanding, and the horses themselves have been the greatest therapy I've ever experienced, and so I try with more than I have to be the greatest therapy to them, particularly given all they've been through. There will never be enough time to list all the good things about Peaceful Ridge Rescue. I recommend everyone available to come experience the wonders of PRR for themselves, and do what you can for the horses.
I first came to Peaceful Ridge Rescue because I was looking for something we could do together as a family on a regular basis that did not involve religion or politics. It has been 3 amazing years of volunteering as a family!! Myself, my husband, and my 12 year old son love all the dedication and devotion everyone has to the horses and each other. We have seen horses come in looking like they are not going to survive. And then , slowly over time through proper nutrition, medical care, and kindness - the horses come back to being so beautiful and happy. Every time we go there, we feel like we are home, we are helping, and we are part of something bigger than ourselves. Thank you to Peaceful Rudge Rescue. We can't imagine our lives without you.
The people at this organization tirelessly dedicate all their waking time to creating an inviting and nurturing home for Horses (and any other animal in need!).
Almost every penny donated goes to taking care of the animals as everyone donates their time in order to be sure the animals receive as much aid as possible.
I have been volunteering at Peaceful Ridge for almost 3 years.
This is the most rewarding volunteer work and the comradery among all the volunteers and staff is amazing.
The rescue takes in so many abused and neglected horses and I am so thankful I can be a part of the rehabilitation process. It is such a positive experience helping the horses heal and learn to trust.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced or non-experienced horse person. We work in a real team environment; everyone helping each other; learning and growing everyday with a new experience. And all with horses. Nothing could be better than this. Being loved and trusted by these magnificent animals because you take the time to care for them. Thank you Peaceful Ridge Rescue for being here for the horses and the volunteers.
Peaceful Ridge Rescue, Inc. is an entity that works hard for the care and well being of the horses. Their goal is to truly find a forever home for every horse they rescue. One of the first things I remember was how the caring people involved, also try to educate others about horses. My daughter has learned so much from everyone she has worked with while being on the premises, and she loves to go to help feed, groom and walk the horses. I have seen how they work and know that the donations they receive go directly to the horses for Food and Vet needs. I also know, they definitely need more funds to help with this, as it is very costly to take care of one horse, let alone 25+.. The volunteers are great, and the staff of Peaceful Ridge Rescue are grateful for all the assistance they receive, large & small.
I am glad to have been introduced to this organization and have been around such caring people that they allow my family to learn and grow with them, on the path of finding a forever home for every horse they rescue.
PEACEFUL RIDGE RESCUE, INC. IS AN ACCREDITED HORSE RESCUE. THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WORK TIRELESSLY TO MAINTAIN THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THE RESCUES. ALL MONIES DONATED GO 100% TO THE CARE AND FEEDING OF THE HORSES. NO ONE AT PRR TAKES A SALARY. I THINK THEY ARE A WELL DESERVING AND TRUE RESCUE WHO NEEDS THE GENEROSITY OF ALL.
