It’s been a blessing to find and work with this non-profit organization that has a mission of spreading awareness of PCOS. I am delighted to be a part of this movement; and honored to have the pleasure of meeting with Congresswoman Virginia Foxx on behalf of PCOS Challenge, and NC women affected by this disorder.
PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association is nothing short of amazing! I’m incredibly thankful I found such an informative organization that includes/helps women with PCOS in anyway they can. I attended advocacy day in Washington, DC in March 2019, which was beyond a humbling experience. Not only advocating for PCOS but everyone that welcomed me with open arms. I look forward to continuing to be involved with this organization for as long as I can. The experiences with them have changed my life.
PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association has done it again! Joining colleagues, volunteers, advocates and families at Nasdaq's closing bell ceremony was a profound moment -- and a demonstration of years of hard work and dedicated service. Good work everyone!
Continuous improvement and growth have become hallmarks of PCOS Challenge's culture. This is why I remain a loyal volunteer and board member. As a Change Management and OD consultant, it's an honor to stand with organization leaders whose articulated commitment to women and girls' health is so well aligned with what they actually do.
Great organization with helpful volunteers and awareness activities and resources. Really have enjoyed my time being an advocate and getting information for myself as a patient.
PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association has given me a voice when I felt I had none. I have lived with PCOS for over 20 years. I was in a place where I lost hope and was struggling with lack of information on my own health condition when I found this phenomenal organization. Through their works, I've learned how to help manage my condition as well as, advocate not only for myself, but for others. I recommend PCOS Challenge to every person I come across who has questions about PCOS. It is a phenomenal resource to all. Their work is incredible and I look forward to being involved with them for many years ahead.
Amazing! They provide a wealth of knowledge to women with PCOS. Phenomenal advocates
PCOS Challenge is a great organization to get involved with and to support. PCOS Challenge provides a number of amazing opportunities for volunteers to make a difference. Most recently, I represented the organization as an advocate in a meeting with Pennsylvania Congressman Dwight Evans regarding more national awareness and legislation to help battle PCOS. I strongly encourage others to donate and volunteer.
PCOS Challenge is an incredible organization that is helping tens-of-thousands of women and families across the country. It is the archetype for the PCOS patient movement globally. I’ve volunteered with and supported PCOS Challenge as a donor for a number of years. I continue to be impressed by the organization’s impact and the vision and commitment of its leadership. I’m proud to be a PCOS Challenge supporter and to be a part of the historic achievements the organization is making with regard to PCOS awareness, education and advocacy. If you have a chance to attend a PCOS Challenge event, be sure to go. It’s a life-changing experience!
PCOS Challenge is an inspiration in the PCOS community and have been a support in ways that no other has been for those with PCOS. What they do for those suffering with PCOS is beyond what I've seen others do. They advocate for those with PCOS, share helpful information about PCOS (how to manage it, what it is, breaking down myths and more), but most of all I feel they help give us a voice. While we each have our unique story and can share PCOS Challenge allows our voices to be heard as a whole.
I will continue to support them and help raise funds and can't wait for the day there are events and walks throughout the US because that was one of the best experiences I've had. Participating in the symposium and walk allowed me to be surrounded by those who not only support the PCOS community, but to be surrounded by fellow PCOS Cysters.
From unhealthy to healthy. From patient to advocate. PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association has challenged me to become a better me and empower others in the process. Prior to my first symposium in 2014, I was not aware of how to fully treat my PCOS and be my own advocate in the doctor's office. Furthermore, I had no idea how broad this disorder was for so many girls and woman and their families, both present and future. With the tools, resources, motivation and encouragement from William, Sasha and the team of volunteers, I am more confident and healthy. PCOS Challenge is transforming the world's knowledge of PCOS and the power of healthcare providers and patients one day at a time.
PCOS Challenge, Inc. saved my life. In my 20s, I knew very little about the disorder, yet it had its way with me. Following my first PCOS Challenge Symposium, I was armed with the right tools to not only fight PCOS at home, but also in the doctor's office, where the battle continues to educate. Three symposiums later, I've volunteered with the organization and seen how it works at its core. The help is genuine just as much as it is effective. The only "challenge" is getting this organization funded so that it can help more women and girls suffering in silence.
PCOS Challenge is a wonderful organization that has done an outstanding job in advocating for people suffering from PCOS. The organization has created an amazing network of patient advocates who have harnessed their power to lobby Members of Congress and their staffs regarding the health challenges that they face.
This is the only PCOS organization that I trust to help patient by vetting resources, to lobby our legislature for research funding and recognition, organization of international grassroots efforts to bring together patients, doctors, health practitioners, researchers, and social influencers. It is entirely run by volunteers so every cent goes back into the community.
PCOS Challege, INC is lead by the most selfless leaders who dedicate their time as volunteers. I find that its very rare in a non-profit that the funds raised go directly to programing to help the intended audience, and that's what they do for women with PCOS. Sasha and William's unwavering dedication has brought much needed resources, symposiums, and resources together to help women with PCOS be their own health advocates, educate health care providers on how to treat women with PCOS, and bring together a community so that no one has to face PCOS alone. If I could give this organization 6 stars, I would.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2009 I had just moved to Atlanta and was really relieved at this point to just have a diagnosis after going so long with not knowing what was going on. Fast forward I was on facebook and saw this group PCOS Challenge here in the city and knew I needed to get involved and boy did it change my outlook and trajectory of my life as I started to get educated about all of the symptoms I was having and the best thing was I was no alone.... I started getting involved right way and Sasha Ottey the founder/executive director opened up her arms to welcome me into the Cyster sisterhood. Everything has been great from the 5k race to the symposium to the advocacy I was able to do on Capitol Hill. This is a non-profit that has their priorities in the right place and that starts with the clients/families affected by PCOS. It has been refreshing to be affiliated and volunteer with this organization that has done nothing but try to bring and awareness and support us as we try and get the word out about a disease that gets no air play. THANK YOU PCOS CHALLENGE for all you do to aid us in the fight.
The work that PCOS Challenge has done for women like myself who have been diagnosed with PCOS is unmatched! The PCOS Challenge team has encouraged, uplifted, and supported myself and my fellow Cysters to advocate and continue to spread awareness! This was my second year attending the PCOS Advocacy Day in Washington, DC and each time is life changing! Without this organization thousands if not millions of women and girls may be lost.
In September 2012, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). For years, I struggled with the physical and emotional ups and downs of living with PCOS until I found the PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association. They helped me find my voice and a community who have been a great support system.
I probably would have given up a long time ago if I didn't find the PCOS Challenge.
After being diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 I was 55 pounds heavier and lost: I'd never heard of the disorder, didn't know anyone with it, and didn't know what next steps to take. After searching the web I came across PCOS Challenge and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of support, information, and the number of women and girls who were affected by this disorder.
I soon came across the PCOS Diva Confidence Grant on their webpage and applied right away! This grant provided $500 toward acne treatment or hair removal for women who suffer from hirsutism and acne due to PCOS. I was ecstatic to receive the award. The support I received from Sasha and Will along with the treatments catapulted my self-confidence. I began to feel so secure in my skin I spoke about the PCOS Diva Confidence Grant and my experience at the 2016 PCOS Challenge Symposium! This organization is essential and I'm not sure where I would be in my journey without it.
I always have lots of fun volunteering at PCOS Challenge events! PCOS is an important and underserved cause that urgently needs more attention. I’m happy that I can make a difference by supporting the critical work of PCOS Challenge.
PCOS Challenge is doing a phenomenal job with PCOS awareness, education and advocacy. It is a joy to support the organization as a volunteer and donor.
I’m so happy that I had an opportunity to volunteer with PCOS Challenge! It's an incredible organization with an amazing staff. If you are looking to donate to or volunteer with a great nonprofit that will enable you to make a difference, look no further than PCOS Challenge.
PCOS Challenge is a wonderful nonprofit that provides accurate, up-to-date information and a platform for PCOS patients to share their stories, get support and to advocate for other women and girls affected by PCOS. I am grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with PCOS Challenge and to share my story as a source of hope and help to others.
A wonderful organization dedicated to advancing PCOS research.
PCOS Challenge is the premier nonprofit organization helping women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Everything they do is top notch - from their monthly magazine, to their annual symposium and fund run to their advocacy in Washington DC. When I count my blessings, I count PCOS Challenge for the work they do to give women with PCOS a voice.
