The Payson Senior Center is the place to be in Rim Country with a variety of activities, daily congregate lunches, meals on wheels, senior transportation, and so much more! They fill a great need in serving our Town and do it efficiently and positively. So many folks in the rim country rely on their offerings for meals, exercise, and socialization. Thank you Payson Senior Center for all that you do for the Town of Payson!!!
We had just moved to Payson and I drove by the center many times but one day decided to stop and see what was going on. Was I ever surprised that there were so many activities to be involved in. I took advantage of lunch one day and met so many new friends, then came back the next day joined the physical exercise program and was totally thrilled with how things were being provided for our seniors to keep us active and healthy and entertained. While there I also noticed that they had many people coming in for medical devices that were donated and they were able to use. There are just so many areas from lunches to activities and of course the trips that they help provide for the seniors to get away and continually able to be active. Many seniors rely on bus transportation they are given back and forth to be able to participate and have to use for meals on Wheels program and sometimes it's just to have a friendly face and a free cup of coffee will make their day a pleasant one. I'm so glad I made that first stop and will continue to go its my second home. Thank you for your outstanding support for the community. J. Nicholson
What a wonderful place our Seniors have to meet with friends, enjoy activities, along with the great meals they provide. The staff and volunteers there go above and beyond to help others. When my elderly father wasn't able to cook any longer, they brought him meals each week. More that the wonderful meals, he loved them checking in on him.
The workers and volunteers I have met at PSC really care about and want to help and encourage the seniors who come every day and depend on the healthy meals that are provided.
The Meals on Wheels program is essential and indispensable.
PSC schedules activities on and off the grounds. They provide entertainment such as music and/or dancing, game days, hold craft shows as well as day trips to dinner cruises, and nearby festivals throughout the year.
My experience includes; borrowing items of medical equipment to help me with the declining care of my mother. Everyone was so nice and helpful without questions.
The classes PSC provides are great for all levels of activity and they are so fun! I have made many friends and look forward to each class.
I take line dance classes twice a week at the Payson Senior Center for exercise and mental exercise too!
Suzanne, Dodi and Laura do such a great job. Thank you, gals for your hard work!
The entire staff is devoted to the diverse needs of seniors whether they are physical, social, intellectual, educational, safety or emotionally focused. The number of volunteers is remarkable and the variety of services offered far outways any other facility in the area.
An amazing nonprofit that helps the community in so many ways! Thank you and keep up the AMAZING work!
I love being a volunteer in the meals on wheels program. I’ve met so many wonderful people at the center and of course the lovely and gracious recipients of the food I deliver. It makes me proud to able of service to the community of Payson. Stella
Always loved the Meals on Wheels program, but had no idea all the great stuff the Senior Center does for folks in this community and surrounding are.
Thank you everybody at Payson Senior Center!!!!!!

Little did I know when I walked into the Senior Center three months ago to apply for a volunteer position, just how much my life would change. To say that I drive the Senior Express van (which I love doing) doesnt paint the entire picture. Passengers become friends in a blink. Everyone is happy to see each other, and we miss someone when they don't come into the Center. In the words of Cheers TV, the Senior Center is a place where everyone knows your name... plus you can get a great lunch, learn stuff and/or exercise Monday through Thursday. And the Senior Express van (for seniors and those that are mobility challenged) not only will get you to and from the Center, but everywhere in between. We can take you to any store you wish, medical appointments, coffee shop... and even the occasional drive through Dairy Queen!
Back to how this place changed my life... my husband who has Alzheimer's (and was becoming a recluse at home) now comes to the Center for lunch every day they're open. He may not remember going the day before, but everyone knows his name and keeps an eye on him while I drive the van!
Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers for making this a special place!
Payson Senior Center has a heart for the Seniors in our community. The staff is top notch and show love to all that come through their door. They support the Meals on Wheels clients in the community with food, but most of all they show love to them when they get that wonderful meal served with a smile.
I am blessed to be a member, serve on the Board of Directors and facilitate a weekly walking club and bimonthly "Bee Your Best" nutrition class with Payson Senior Center! This organization truly goes above and beyond in providing invaluable support and services to our elderly community members.
First and foremost, the staff at the Senior Center are incredibly welcoming and caring. They show a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of our seniors, and it was heartwarming to see how much they care about each individual. Their dedication to creating a warm and friendly environment is evident from the moment you walk through the door.
The programs and activities offered at the Senior Center are both diverse and engaging. It's impressive to see how they cater to a wide range of interests and needs, from exercise classes and educational workshops to social gatherings and arts and crafts. This variety ensures that everyone can find something enjoyable and meaningful to participate in.
What strikes me the most is the sense of community and camaraderie that exists within the Senior Center. Seniors have the opportunity to socialize and make new friends, which is crucial for combating feelings of isolation. The sense of belonging and the friendships that develop here are invaluable.
The facility itself is well-maintained and clean, providing a safe and comfortable space for seniors to enjoy their time. I also appreciate the attention to accessibility, making sure that all seniors can easily navigate the premises.
Furthermore, the Senior Center's commitment to outreach and support for seniors in need, whether through transportation assistance, meal programs, or healthcare resources, is truly commendable. They go the extra mile to address the holistic needs of our senior population.
In conclusion, I can't express enough how grateful I am for our Payson Senior Center. Their dedication to enhancing the lives of our elderly residents is inspiring, and their positive impact on the community is undeniable. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization to anyone looking for a place where our seniors can thrive, socialize, and receive the support and care they deserve. I am blessed to be a part of this amazing organization.
This organization truly embodies the words "service" and "caring".
Every volunteer, every staff member exudes loving kindness to all who come into contact with the Payson Senior Center; they truly do care.
The Payson Senior Center is such a benefit to the community. I have seen firsthand how it has helped to enhance the lives of so many.
I pray that the Payson Senior Center is able to provide their services of great meals, friendly transportation, and engaging activities for many years to come.
Delivery of meals to seniors. Senior classes including exercise and health concerns. Provides bus service for senior needs.
It has been a please to serve on the Payson Senior Center board for 15 years. We have helped thousands of seniors live independently by providing meals on wheels to them. Another service we provide is Senior Transportation to help get them to a doctor appointment and grocery shopping when needed. A touching story was when a meals on wheels senior had fallen over the weekend and couldn't get up, she laid on the floor and said she knew her angel (her MOW driver) would be there Monday to help her, and they did. These kind of stories daily help to keep our organization strong with volunteers and community support. Please look into our wonderful nonprofit and hopefully you will help us in someway.
Payson Senior Center has been a focus of my husband and mine for more then fifteen years. We both volunteer at Trinket and Treasurers. We believe it is important to have the store which is contributing funding for the center. We both enjoy lunch at the center. We have seen growth in membership, services, and programs during these times. The staff is qualified and always providing help, especially during COVID.
The center has been instrumental in assisting red cross, and in all emergency situations that have arisen in payson. Also it distributes meals on wheels and advocates for the seniors it serves. Without the center there would be vulnerable seniors who would not have access to healthy meals and have a caring driver of meals making sure they are well
I bake and cook at the Senior Center in Payson for the Meals on Wheels program. However, what I really enjoy is talking to the seniors who come in for lunch and other activties. (Not right now of course.) But I love listening to their stories just like I used to love listening to my grandparents and my grandparents-in-law (is there such a word?) They all have such interesting memories that open my eyes to different worlds. Fascinating! And for many of them the Senior Center is the main place where they can socialize.
I've visited the Senior Center several times and the volunteers were so friendly and engaging with everyone. There are so many activities for Seniors, from crafting to exercise classes and more. Payson is so blessed to have such a great organization serving our community. Debbie Stephens does a wonderful job of keeping Rim Country aware of the importance of honoring our Seniors and working towards making sure that no Senior goes hungry through the Meals on Wheels program. I highly recommend Payson Senior Center as a GREAT nonprofit.
I moved to Payson 3 years ago and visited the Sr. Center. I found it to be a very active environment compared to some senior centers. Activities everyday, excursions to places of interest, bible study, craft class, exercise class, the list is quite extensive. I was so caught up in the experience that I volunteered to serve meals at noon to the seniors. It's great being a part of an organization that puts it's members interest to the best use. I found a new family at the Payson Senior Center. I go there to find and share life with others. Excellent management as well always keeps the center interesting. WELL DONE TO ALL!
I began my journey as a volunteer with the Payson Senior Center five years ago. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The mission and the daily commitment to making Seniors feel welcome, safe, and cared for is a mission that I will stay committed to my whole life. I am proud to be now serving on the Board of Directors as Vice Chair, and I am proud to be a part of an organization who has placed this Center as a beacon of hope for future growth and outreach. Life does live there!
The Payson Senior Center was there for me and my family. My father-in-law had Lewy Bodies Dementia. They provided resources to help us. The have a dementia support group and offer free medical equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs. The Center becomes an extended family for most. They truly care.
