Mission: Our organization is dedicated to improving the lives of veterans suffering from mental and/or physical disabilities through trained service dogs, empowering them and their families to achieve lifelong successes and to pave their way home.
Results: PAVE has placed twenty service dogs with disabled veterans. Our veterans report reduction in medication (under doctor supervision), fewer nightmares and panic attacks, increased ability to sleep, greater independence, an increase in going into public and more peace of mind when doing so, and an overall sense of healing, confidence, and greater quality of life.
Target demographics: Mentally and physically disabled veterans
Geographic areas served: Oregon, Washington, California and Idaho
Programs: PAVE provides highly-trained service dogs, training for the veteran, and a lifetime of follow-up support free of charge to veterans including equipment and supplies valued at over $1,000.
