Target demographics: provide care for homeless dogs and cats until they can be placed in permanent, responsible homes while promoting humane values in our community through outreach and educational programs.

Programs: **Adoptions: in 2019 we took in 975 cats and dogs and 98% of them found new forever homes! Every animal who comes to PAWS. Are spayed or neutered, received rabies and distemper vaccinations, flea, tick and de-worming treatments, heartworm testing, ear cleaning, lifetime microchip, and other medical treatments as needed.
**Volunteers: we engaged over 200 volunteers who provided hundreds of volunteer hours in and around the shelter and at community events. Volunteers ranged from youth to senior citizens, veterans, and persons with special needs.
**Outreach: we presented programs to and hosted youth groups from area schools, after-school programs, and scouting clubs. We visited local assisted living facilities giving the residents the opportunity to spend time with companion animals. We participated in other outreach opportunities including healthy kids day at 2 ymca's and business showcase event from area chambers of commerce. We added a six-week long youth summer camp and three holiday break camps focused on animal welfare, education, safety and training for youth ages 8-16. We also hosted a series of dog training classes and workshops for youth and adults.
