Wow! Thank you new board and most awesome volunteers! What a difference these last few months have made for all the fur babies at Paw Warriors, Inc. The much needed changes are amazing already because of you. It's about the cats, only the cats.
Paw Warriors rescue is under new management and the new Board and Volunteers are doing an amazing job. They have cleaned up trash from all over the grounds & still working on living quarters, taken many cats to the vet for medical care, many were so sick and needed care for some time. Funds are being handled legally finally. Please everyone come out and see for yourself! It's looking so good and the rescue has gotten long-time residents (cats) into loving homes that were being hoarded at the rescue for years - it's amazing! Paw Warriors is open to the public Wednesday & Sunday Evenings 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and all are welcome!
Absolutely appalling behavior from the new management at Paw Warriors. Any dissenting opinion is met with immediate verbal abuse, banning, and blocking. They create an echo chamber where only their views are tolerated. The level of hostility towards humans, especially their personal vendetta against the founder of the rescue, raises serious concerns about the welfare of the animals under their care. If they lack basic human compassion, how can they provide genuine care for vulnerable animals? I strongly advise potential adopters and donors to consider other organizations that prioritize respect and transparency.
Paw Warriors has been a refuge for many seriously ill/injured cats & kittens. They do all that they can for those in need. I volunteer for the rescue and love seeing cats heal, become healthy and happy and be adopted into loving homes. Just recently they took in a sad little guy who was scared of everything & running the streets. What a difference already within a few days they have made of this sweet boy! Can't wait for his adoption after medical needs are met. Awesome group, trying their best to make a difference in not only the cats' lives, but in families in their community - way to go Paw Warriors! We love you!! Please donate & support this awesome rescue! Volunteer or give - Thanks!

Paw Warriors goes beyond all expectations in helping so many cats/kittens in our community along with their families. Many injured, ill, needy & destitute cats are helped daily. PWI has been there with TNVR for years and it does work. Tracie and her crew are so faithful and committed to do what they can. If physically they cannot help, they will instruct and get help. Our community needs to stand behind PWI as it does take "a village" with giving, volunteering, sharing & trying to get cats adopted into great homes. Thank you Paw Warriors - you are appreciated.
This rescue is top notch! They go out of there way to get poor abandoned/feral the health care they need.

Paw Warriors is a wonderful rescue that our community really needs. They have helped so many cats in need. They also try and help find them forever homes. I got these from there. My Maui is awesome house cat. Blackie + Cat Girl are my incredible barn cats.
Paw Warriors saves lives!
The CEO of this nonprofit is a lifesaver, literally. She goes above and beyond EVERY single day for all her cats and the few personal dogs she has.
This non profit has been awesome with everyone I have sent their way! They have NEVER turned away any sick, or injured cat that comes to them. Always willing to go the distance to help, and then some. They have saved many many cat lives, and many now have a better life because of their work, and dedication. They are truly a great rescue!
Tracie is always there for the cats who would have no other hope. She has helped countless animals and always has put them first.
I have visited a few times and I am impressed with the small group of volunteers who take care of these kitties that need the most medical center help. They are always willing to help a sick or injured animal when most places would just put down the animal. Paw Warriors gives cats a fighting chance at life. Kudos to them.
Amazing organization that tirelessly helps the misfits in our community! Tracie and the other warriors are amazing!!

I can’t say enough about this place ! They truly LOVE these cats! They are the voice for the cats when they are to weak to have one. They take the cats that others would just turn away because they are not kittens or just too much work.
I personally love being able to visit durning happy hour! What I really find special is you go and let the cat or kitten pick you. I have gotten 2 cats from the rescue. Geoffrey and my daughter fell in love and I just knew that was HER cat. I fell in love with Oscar. They are so loved and I can’t thank Paw Warriors enough for give these babies a second chance and letting us love them.
Paw Warriors is an amazing place that helps injured, homeless & helpless cats in need. They dedicate their time, hours & hours to these poor cats. They have a wonderful place that you can go and visit & see how awesome they are for yourself.
I've been volunteering for Paw Warriors for 3 years, what we do is rare. There's very few places that cater to the needs of sick, injured, neglected and abused. We also do hospice when necessary. We have whipped cream parties, rotisserie chicken parties. We keep them warm in the winter and we are currently working to add air conditioned areas along adding more fencing and building's. If you like Kitty's, you've got to see this!
They are the best cat rescue. They are so focused on matching the right cat to the right person. I loved having my cat choose me, they have an amazing set up. They were so available and wonderful ehen it came to helping me adopt my kitty. Even when she got sick qnd it was late at night, one of the wonderful ladies called me and helped me through it, together she helped me get my cat to eat and drink something at night on a weekend. Simply incredible!
amazing care!!! love this place. they are so kind and caring towards the animals ❤️ truly inspirational
Paw Warriors has stepped up and helped me personally with 5 injured kitties! They have kept the old and sick to live their last days knowing comfort and love. I have been to their place numerous times and so much to see. Anytime someone posts about an inured animal I tell them to immediately contact Paw Warriors or the owner personally. I have no pictures to share as this is a new phone.
I have been fortunate over the past two years to work side by side with many of the dedicated volunteers at Paw Warriors. I have learned the true meaning of compassion and going the extra mile for those injured and need critical care. So many in need and very few turned away. Let’s give them some Paw for a great job.

Paw Warriors Inc. is definitely the best by far.
A dying feral cat had found it's way to my front porch. Not knowing what to do, I reached out to them for help. They instructed me to take the cat immediately to Urgent Care. I ended up leaving the cat there for treatment. The next morning I received a heartfelt message from Paw Warriors saying the cat had to be sent to the Rainbow Bridge AND the reasons why. They had never met me or knew anything about this feral cat but were there when this cat was in need. The love and compassion they showed simply amazed me. I'll be forever grateful they were there, not only for the dying cat but for me as well in this time of crisis.
Where do I even start! This rescue is absolutely amazing! When ever someone reaches out to them they always answer! I've had the pleasure of visiting their happy hour(or as I like to refer it as heaven) you get to meet all the fur babies you read about in their post and see how they healed and are now safe and loving life! To me and our community PAW Warriors are real heroes.
This rescue does AMAZING things! I have seen animals with little will to live or cats that are petrified of people do a complete 360 and become loving companions! The staff at Paw warriors are so unbelievably dedicated and the cats are lucky to have them to take care of them! This place is puurrrrrfect!
I have been following this organization for a couple of years. I have visited their facility to drop off donations. Their dedication and compassion are fully apparent when you see the animals, specifically the cats, they have rescued and keep at the sanctuary. They provide a valuable service to gather community and to the animals they help.
Paw Warriors goes above & beyond to help the most neglected and vulnerable kitties in our area. They respond all hours of the day & night to cats with the most horrendous injuries. Without them, most would not make it. Then they bring these kitties to a stable home where they lovingly tend them. The selflessness of the volunteers simply amazes me.
This charity houses and cares for so many cats! They are hard working and extraordinarily dedicated to their cause.
We made a wrong turn off a highway and found a skinny stray cat drooling with crusty eyes that had a bad infection on his mouth and another stray that had bold spots infected with Mange from a rundown neighborhood We managed to trap and Paws took both these adult cats to treat and care for. Tracy and all volunteers you guys are just awesome!
Very good, respected rescue run by a dear friend of mine.
That has always been there to lend an ear & help with any problems I may have with any fur-babies... Thank you Paw Warriors for all you do for these precious babies ❤️
I’ve never seen people who care so much for pets and specifically the special needs cats as Paw Warriors. They are the best and can’t wait too see them grow and succeed in the future!
We started to go to Paw Warriors for their happy hour just to love on the kitties and to socialize them. We were so impressed at all they do. They are an amazing place. we were so touched with what they do for these precious lives. They are so selfless when it comes to the them. We kept going to love on all the babies with no intentions of adopting. Well we didn't adopt a kitty he adopted us. Every time we would visit he would spend the entire time on one of our laps. we finally gave in and took him home. I can't say enough about how amazing Paw Warriors is.
I started supporting this organization one and a half years ago when I moved to Florida. I’ve made one trip to the facility. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. The animals are well cared for, get lots of socialization, have room to roam yet lots of places to escape the sun.
This non profit is AMAZING. They work so hard to save the most critical cases, and do so with compassion and love.

After we lost our 20 year old Siamese, we found Paw Warriors. I told Tracie I wanted a snuggly cuddly cat. She said to see who picked me. Sure enough Pop Tart picked me and is everything I asked for. Then we saw Uno and fell in love with him too. They are great additions to our family. Paw Warriors gives so much care to all kinds of cats that are brought to them. Many are feral and enjoy the large cat fenced outdoor areas as well as the several small buildings. They provide routine medical care to all the cats and advanced medical care to those that need it. Our Pop Tart was one of those that benefitted from that kind of care before we met her. They also provide care and love to aged cats and those at the end of life. Donations are used for essentials. There is no wasteful overhead.
Even though I did not adopt a kitten they helped me by lending me 2 traps and the information I needed to get two feral cats fixed. One happened to be a female (7 mo old) and the other a male (3 years old). That was 2 years ago and we still feed them and give them flea protection. I donate quite a bit to only this rescue as I feel they do a wonderful job rescuing and TNR. They never say no to any rescue situation. As far as I am concerned this is a great rescue.
I adopted Minnie Mew from Paw Warriors. They saved this little girls life. Two ladies, Mary and Carol who rescue for Paw Warriors allowed me the honor of adopting her. She was found under a trailer after giving birth to two stillborn kittens. When they rescued her she still had one stillborn kitten in her. She was too young at that time to become a mother. She had a terrible infection from the dead kitten inside of her. They immediately took her to a veterinarian and the kitten had to be surgically removed and she was put on antibiotics and many other measures were taken to save her life. They saved her life and cared for her until she was strong enough to be available for adoption. After being vetted I adopted her. My husband had just lost his female Tuxedo cat that passed away at 25 years old. And, he missed her. So I adopted Minnie Mew who resembled my husbands cat. There are not limits as to how far Paw Warriors will go to save these fur babies. I’m so glad I found them. Everyone there are true Warriors and I would highly recommend contacting Paw Warriors if you are looking for a fur-ever baby.
We have been going to Paw Warrior Happy hour for about 5 months now. It has been an amazing experience for our family. We even became a foster family for a wonderful kitty from them. The cats love the attention during happy hour and it provides my family an outlet to play and pet a lot of cats.
Poor quality, poor value, disorganized, not professional, not reliable, not responsive, rude, and a FRAUD. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND SHUT DOWN ASAP. I will never donate to Paw Warriors ever again. The animals we saw that the owner, Tracie, posted on FB about (that were supposedly still really sick and "in need of funds") were actually NOT when we saw them (as she made them out to be on FB). Tracie EXAGGERATED on FB about the condition of SEVERAL animals in order to get donations OFF OF THOSE ANIMALS. Tracie also doesn't return calls (or texts). The place is basically a back alley bunch of trailers with a fence around it. And 3/4 of the cats there were sick with runny noses, runny eyes, caked noses - and NO ONE was addressing these many issues. You could also tell the dogs looked like they were just exhausted from being in an outdoor enclosure all day. The cats were all going to the bathroom in the sand where other cats were laying. There were full cat litter boxes everywhere and no water bowls anywhere that we could see. The place was disorganized and no one knew what was going on. When we asked why the litter boxes were full and there was no water, instead of addressing our concerns, or sifting the litter and actually giving the cats water, the staff became rude and nasty. To make matters worse, Tracie is a bully and expects everyone to bow to her. And the worse Tracie can make an animal's situation SEEM (even though it's not true or she exaggerated), the more money she can defraud from well-intentioned people (like us).
The place is seriously nasty and so are the people. No one there knows what's going on and the owner Tracy is a rude control freak. And why does every cat there look like they're not being taken care of because they're sick??? Is that how Tracy gets money out of donors or something?? By keeping the cats sick? This place was depressingly horrible. Take my advice and go anywhere else.
I’m in touch currently with a lovely lady who is updating me on kittens. I work so the times are close 9 -11 . She works seemingly after hours. she doesn’t stop helping just to give me an idea of a kitty a want... to me that is a good place with good intention and heart. Please adopt because we all need a little love
This nonprofit is an amazing rescue. They literally drop everything to go and get any cat/kitten they hear is in need of their rescue. They have (and take the time and muscle and money to maintain) a wonderful outdoor/indoor home for kitties. Some will never be adopted, but that is okay. I am lucky to have this rescue close to me. I hope to adopt a kitty (or two) from them once my senior passes to greener pastures.
I took a little rumpy cat to Paw Warriors. Rumpy was missing about 3 " of his spine. His nervous system from the middle of his body down was really impaired. Basicly, his brain was disconnected from his bottom and he did not know when he was peeing and pooping. His rectrum was mostly outside the body and he had poop hanging out of his body. One vet gave him a shot of concerta which shrank the anal tissues and caused the rectrum to go back inside his body. He saw five vets but no one knew what to do with him and they prescribed inappropriate drugs that did not even treat the symptoms. The vets would not neuter him because of all his other problems. So Rumpy's older dominant male brother decided to kill him because he didn't want his testosterone in the house. I was trying to recover from serious surgery and was just a wreck from all the stress in the house and the care of Rumpy and his brother trying to kill him. Tracie took Rumpy in and saved his life and she saved my life. It took me a couple of months to recover from the surgery and the emotional ordeal of Rumpy.
Rumpy lived a few months and then became paralyzed. Then he had to be put to sleep. The vets really should have known that was the only possibility for him. I still grieve for him. But I am grateful that he got the run of Paw Warriors and got to lay in the sunshine for a few months of his little life.
I have 2 rescue cats and feed two stray cats near my house. Paw Warriors were kind enough to lend me two traps for a couple weeks so I could trap the stray cats and get them fixed. They are always rescuing injured kitties and dogs if necessary no matter what time of day or night. They are a wonderful rescue and when I donate I know my money is going to help support the rescue.
Paw warriors is amazing! They have a whole space to keep the cats happy. Taking some of the sickest cats and fixing them so they can find their forever homes!
My children and I love Paw Warriors. We started going there so the kids could enjoy some outside time and we could pet the cats. We've been visiting for about 2 years, and now are the adopters of 3 Paw Warriors kitties. The kids help out with replenishing food and water and we have turned into a family of advocates for spay/neuter of neighborhood cats in our community. Everyone at Paw Warriors is amazing and I've personally seen some of the critical care cases that they take in. They have so much love in their hearts for each individual cat. They are so welcoming of visitors and they are always striving to educate and give each cat a voice. Our county and those surrounding it are better off because of this organization.

I learned of Paw Warriors a few years ago, shortly after moving to Spring Hill. I had a cat tree that was just too high for my senior kitties. It was a nice one that had many years use ahead of it. I asked a local Facebook group who I could donate it to. Almost every person recommended Paw Warriors! We reached out to Tracie, and she was interested, so we brought it over. I was amazed at the level of care and compassion shown from all the people working there. Since then, I’ve followed their Facebook page and have been increasingly impressed at their dedication and commitment to animals. There are many animal lovers in our world (I am one of them), but we all can’t always do as much as we might like to. The folks at Paw Warriors do a lot every day. They are walking the talk and I admire them for all they do. I also make periodic donations and ALWAYS include them in my prayers.
they are fantastic in what/all that they do for these precious creatures. they all deserve more praise than i can give.
This is a place where animals know they are safe, cares for and loved. The prople here have the biggest of hearts. Tracie is a wonderful loving person who has such a huge heart and takes great care of these furbabies. The animals are vet checked and ready for their forever homes.
My two handsome boys came from this group! So happy for a rescue like yours! Thank you for saving the animals!!!
They helped me with two pregnant mom and daughter kitties. They were living outside and I was selling my house and moving. They took them both in and had them spayed and cared for them afterwards.
I volunteered here for a bit and it was a fantastic experience. I can’t wait to take my kids to help with what they can. The animals are very well taken care of and very much loved.
Paw Warriors is So Very ProActive in Social Media and Its Excellent Postings to get these animals into good loving homes. Excellent Way To Reach Out To People & Making These Animals Personable!
Tracie and staff are amazing and what they do for the animals on an every day basis is incredible. Our cat Thomas was rescued by Paw Warriors and we couldn't be happier! Thank you, Tracie for your amazing work.
I appreciate high standards of care as I am a retired nurse. I have been impressed with the standards of care that that the cats and kittens receive. It's all about the animals! Paw Warriors has done amazing work with TNR, getting so many strays fixed, and ear clipped, so they can continue living their lives without producing more unwanted kittens .Our county would be facing a much more dire animal population explosion. Along with TNR, there are some wonderful adoptable cats and kittens.
There are a number of devoted volunteers who make sure the felines get some extra love and attention and help in any areas they are needed.
Until they find their forever home, the cats could not be in a better or more loving environment than Paw Warriors.
Paw warriors has helped me in many ways i can take days to describe. They have helped when i have been turned away by rescues.i will never forget paw warriors helped me with this stray cat jezabel.she had been hit by a car and disfigured and was near death.this cat i swear had everything wrong with it and even lice.as i was turned away from spca and other rescues tracy at paw warriors helped me bring this wobbly and near death cat to life.amazingly was a miracle.i then adopted jezabel and i still spoil her.she still drags her legs but she has been better in health and is spoiled.i thank paw warriors so much in bring her to life and a member of my family.
My family and I have been Dto Paw Warriors a couple times to donate food in the visit with the kitties. They have a lot of cats there they are so great they're so loving they follow you around my daughter loves it cuz she had so many cats loving on her and following her around , they have dogs there for protection for the cats which is wonderful and the staff they are just so good to those babies they have bedding food treats everywhere everything is set up perfect for those cats to be comfortable good job Paw Warriors
I have dealt with paw warriors for 8 years. They helped me when other "rescues" gave me the run around. I donate whenever i can, cause they're awesome.
We have rescued 3 kitties (Boots and Boogie) from Paw Warriors. The third kitty is Newt . We happened to be outside feeding a colony of cats, when we heard a little meowing. It led us to the neighbors yard behind their shed. She was cornered in and the drop was 8 feet. We called Paw Warriors to help get her out. They came and one of them went down with a net and put her in a carrier. They brought her to a vet and she was 5 months old and weighed only 2 pounds. Paw Warriors gave her shelter and helped her to get better. About 2 weeks with them we adopted her also. So, now we have 3 wonderful kitties. Believe me when I say, Paw Warriors deserves the best for what they do for these animals!

Paw Warriors has helped us in many ways! We had a kitty stuck outside between an 8 ft wall and a kitty corner shed. Paw warriors came as soon as we called and rescued the poor thing and nursed it to health and we adopted her. Also we adopted 2 other kitties from them as well. We had a sick kitty who lived outside and Paw Warriors took him in and made his last days loved and as comfortable as he could be. Paw warriors never ceases to amaze me with their time and effort into loving animals, and spreading the word about TNR. They are the best!
A trip to see this shelter was a huge surprise. Unbelievable how many cats have been saved from lives on the streets, medical issues, and abuse. Tracy has devoted her life to this mission, and knows every cats name. No cat is turned away. I give her shelter five stars!
Hard working little rescue that could! They have overcome adversity time and again. So grateful to them for the work they do.
This is a wonderful rescue. They are excellent. They are involved in TNR & help many animals that are abandoned. Paw warriors has a great group of volunteers , unfortunately as many kitties they find homes for it seems like just as many new cats coming in.
They are great, they help with 4 kittens that were found and another young cat that was very sick. they do awesome work and care.
I think this nonprofit is doing a very great service for the cats here in Spring Hill. This is a greatly needed service !!!!
I recently rescued a kitten with a serious case of scabies. Tracie not only is treating him with revolutions, but also gave him lime baths once on June 20th and once June 29th. The improvement was awesome. He still needs to go back in once or twice more due to the severity of the infection, but I know his will be a success.
We adopted a wonderful, sweet cat from Paw Warriors. I had to contact them a couple times after the adoption and they were always helpful I follow them on Facebook and I’m always touched and amazed at all they do for their cats. The community is lucky to have them
Wonderful rescue, saved many stray kitties for me that showed up on my doorstep, even a pregnant momma. They were all adopted to wonderful families.
This organization is unbelievable. They not only work tirelessly keeping the feral cat population down with their tnr program. They also rescue surrendered cats from euthenization. From deplorable conditions and even have a spot for hospice patients cats. We have adopted 2 cats from paw warriors. They fit right in with our other pets and are so lovable. It's hard to believe the conditions they were rescued from. They work to provide care for these animals 24/7 on donations and volunteers alone. They truly deserve an award.
I love this rescue and what they do for cats. I adopted Onyxx in 2017 to be a companion to my male rescue cat. This organization goes above and beyond for the cats they rescue, and cats within the community. Tracie and her volunteers spend many sleepless nights behind the scenes saving cats from all situations and circumstances. My Onyxx is one of the ones they saved... She's a tripod due to injury prior to going to Paw Warriors.. The leg couldn't be saved, but Onyxx is a loving happy girl..
The animals come first here with every donation being stretched to the utmost through careful management. PAW Warriors fills a need in their community in a way that county and state agencies cannot and PAW doesn't forget the ferals either.
I have visited. Very friendly and caring people.clean area. Large playing area for animals and all in good happy health. I highly recommend visiting and adopting from here.
Paw warriors has been there for my Fur- babies more than once. I am very grateful for each one of them there. My fur- babies are also. Always willing to help & to try their best to save an animal.

I have to say that PawWarriors has been their for me & my fur babies more times than I can count. I am very grateful for their dedication they have for their fur- babies . I have adopted my kitty from Tracie about 4 years ago & I just love him so. I try to donate to them with food & litter or money often they can definitely use it for the fur- babies! You won't regret it.
Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm raising money for Paw Warriors Inc and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. I've included information about Paw Warriors Inc below.
Paw Warriors fights for animals in need and battles the over overpopulation of unwanted cats through advocacy and humane education. Our no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit facility exists to mitigate the overpopulation and suffering of feral and stray cats by providing medical assistance to disabled cats and promoting sterilization of all cats; provide a safe, secure environment for permanent residents and those awaiting adoption; assist homeless and low-income people with pet medical needs to insure that a pet is not surrendered or abandoned; and educate the public about the merits of Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR) for cat population control and about the responsibilities of pet ownership.
I came to know Tracie Steger, " The woman who's love for these animals started Paw Warriors Inc. and Mis Fit Acre's" over 3 year's ago when I moved to Spring Hill, Florida. I passed by this place daily since I lived around the corner.
I am an animal lover too,so it easy to be drawn to this place.
Tracie ,being Tracie welcomed my family with open arms, we've been friends every since.
My mother, Margaret Lucas, was the assistant manager at the Humane Societies thrift store in Tampa, Florida for a number of years. I remember her famous word's that she drilled in to my head, "There's not enough homes for them all" !
I loved and respected my mom, and I could see clearly that she spoke the truth.
When I became a mother I too taught my children what my mother taught me.
But as life would have it I ended up adopting a feral cat that had been left to die in a horaders house in New Port Richey.
Hisser is the name I gave her, because that's what she did, hiss, hiss, hiss!
When the man passed away that was hoarding all these cats his family came in,locked up his house, and put it up for sale! They just left all of those cats and kittens to die.
One day my kid's father went over to see what the situation was,as he peered into a window the horror that he saw forever seared into his brain," dead cats all over the floors" he was mortified by the absolute disregard for the little innocent lives left to starve to death, locked in an abandoned trailer.
One by one the survivor's found out we where lover's and not hater's of all animals! It was heart warming to watch what appeared to be sister's hearding the oldest sister's brood over to my house for a meal.
Mom in front, babies in the middle, and Auntie bringing up the rear!
None of them would let you touch them, they just hissed LoL.
As they came each day our family inched closer and closer until we could just barely touch the older females, while the kitten's hid in the bushes. I noticed that the kitten's seemed sick, there eye's were all crusted with pus. So I got a pot holder and reached in the bushes grabbing them one by one. I had some antibiotics that had been left over from someone, and I put it in a syringe, and pumped it into there mouth's. I wasn't able to catch them all,and the one's I could not catch died. But the one's I did catch thrived! I tried in vain to get help for these abandoned little kitties, but no one wanted them. In Florida if you feed feral cats that have been abandoned like this, now you own them! I was not in the position to take in 50 cat's and kittens.
The neighbor that lived next door to the man's home who had passed away leaving all these poor animals to die,was getting very angry because the cat's had been going under his home for shelter, and as a result damaging his insulation.
One day he came over and asked me if any of these cats were mine. I told him,no they have been abandoned by the heir's of his neighbor.
He then proceeded to tell me that he had caught one that seemed to be friendly, and was going to start ketching them all, and killing them!
I didn't know what to do.
I was sitting on my porch one day,and this feral cat came right up to me. I was shocked because they do not trust humans, and for good reason,as the have been targeted to torture and kill. But this one it wanted to come in my house. I opened the door, and said," well come on in,and it did!
Now this cat had never been inside a house before, and it was all over the place! Up the bookcase, under the couch,in the bedrooms we laughed and laughed. I adopted this cat,and it took me 3 year's to gain her trust. Who was she? She was that baby kitten I reached in the bushes for that lived. And when that neighbor started killing her family, she knew she could come to me for safety. RIP my beloved Hisser number two. I loved that crazy little feral cat. The kittens she had before I was able to get her spayed is why Tracie is still a part of our family. You see I kept that cat from getting pregnant for almost 3 year's as I worked to gain her trust enough to take her to get spayed, but one time she got out,and that's all it took to become a mother herself. Tracie took those baby kitten's to help me. She had them all vetted ,and adopted ,all but one, Charlie , Hisser's baby still lives her at Paw Warriors!
Tracie and Paw Warriors .. Misfit acres, they help so many sweet babies that what not have a home.. I have donated when I could, and the volunteers who help out are amazing.. I have learned so much. Even though I live miles away, they have inspired me to feed the lost and ferals in my community.. I TNR when I can as well. God Bless them!
Paw Warriors is an amazing organization helping cats start a new life! They came out to my neighborhood on Gray Fox Lane in Port Richey to TNR the cats in the area and they handled this with extreme professionalism and managed to trap many cats within minutes and within an hour had all of them...they took them all, had them spayed/neutered, dewormed, shots and deflead and released some back here and kept some at their sanctuary that were good candidates to be socialized and find good homes for them. Tracie Steger is an amazing woman and does all of this out of the kindness of her heart and love for all animals.
It takes a level of compassion that most people will never fully comprehend to take the innocent souls that have been abandoned, stray or neglected, and provide them with the possibility of a new life! This facility does exactly that by providing a safe place, food, medical attention, and most importantly, all the love they deserve. As a world that is seeing a "throw away" mentality develop all around us, this group is essential for our community! These tiny little souls have been forgotten by so many and it is time we step up and support the people that are dealing with the problem "we" created! Thank you to all of our Paw Warriors!
The most beautiful hearted people volunteer there time here . Tracy has done so much for all the fur babies and has given me a different perspective, and I couldn't be more grateful for that . I also got an amazing baby, Ash from them. They bring so much life and joy to all the animals and us.
My 17 year old cat had just passed away from cancer and I was devastated. My husband said that he had found me a tortie-I hadn't had one in the 6 months since I lost my 18 year old cat to cancer. When we arrived, it was like therapy for my broken heart. There were so many super friendly cats seemingly wanting to be your new best friend. The tortie we went to see was acting standoffish-she was a typical tortie. While walking around we fell in love with another cat, a cross eyed Siamese mix. We agreed to take the tortie that night since we knew she was felv and fiv negative. We also said that we wanted the Siamese as long as she was negative. We took the tortie home that night and within 30 minutes she was no longer afraid and has been living on my lap since. One week later they delivered the Siamese and she has also been a wonderful friend. The cats you can adopt are all super friendly, even though it may not seem that way for all of them. They just need someone to love them and make them their own.
Tracey is a phenomenal human with a gigantic heart. She will do anything she can to help. More people need to know how great they are and adopt their cats so that they will always have room to help others.
Tracie and the Paw Warriors are truly warriors. Tracie's expertise in kitty rescue and care has been achieved through education, dedication, and pure love. There's not a situation that she and the warriors won't attempt to tackle when it comes to the vast array of misfortunes that befall so many homeless and neglected feline families. Those fortunate kittens and cats that become adoptable, are the result of hard work which includes medical care, proper housing, socialization from all the volunteers that come to love on the kitties, vaccines and spay/neutering. For three years I have watched Tracie and the warriors build this amazing facility called Misfit Acres and see all the happy and healthy cats that thrive there as permanent residents and adoptable pets.
They have helped countless individuals in our community to spay and neuter both pets and feral cat colonies with care and compassion!
Paw Warriors Inc are true heroes to the cats in our community. They make a difference everyday and do so with true compassion to the animals they help. I called them when we had a stray cat having kittens under our shed, and for the stray cat overpopulation on my dead end street. They are great and I've been supportive to the organization ever since!! Thank You Paw Warriors!!
Tracie is truly an angel among us! She has given her hear and soul to her mission of saving these cats. I met Tracie when I pleaded for help on FB for a cat trap to catch a cat I had been feeding for months that was living under a parked truck near a carwash. The cat would not come close enough for me to catch him. Tracie saw the post and immediately offered to come and help me. Two nights we spent trying to catch the cat and when we finally did..Tracie took him and nursed him back to health. I could not have done this without her help. That cat was adopted and now has a forever home. Tracie has sacrificed so much for the sake of these animals . Paw Warriors is an asset to our community and cats everywhere!!
I adopted a kitten from Tracie. She was found by neighbor and only four weeks old. Due to Tracie's efforts the kitten was rescued, de-wormed and formula fed. I was able to take her home and the kitten has grown into a healthy sassy cat.
I love paw warriors. I recently came across an ad looking for help with a kitten that was run over. I took the kitten to the vet hoping they could help. Well I'm broke and paw warriors stepped up to cover the vet bill. The kitten was in bad shape. Tracie took the kitten and took care of it every 2 hours with feeding and fluids etc. The kitten is doing better. This is not the first time paw warriors has helped with stray cats and definitely won't be the last time. This is what rescue is about.
