Mission: In 1961, world champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, Paul Anderson, and his wife Glenda accepted God's call to establish the Paul Anderson Youth Home, a Christian home for homeless and troubled adolescents. This ministry serves 16 to 21 year-old young men, the majority of whom are court ordered and would otherwise be in juvenile or adult penal institutions. Paul and Glenda's vision was to strengthen America by building men of faith, men of discipline, and men of character. After 33 years dedicated to that vision - often battling crippling physical ailments - Paul passed away in 1994. Glenda, along with her dedicated staff, continues to carry the torch and oversee the day-to-day operation. The PAYH philosophy is quite simple: If a young man has self-confidence and positive values, he is going to like himself and help others. A key to implementing this philosophy is teaching each young man that he was created by Almighty God and therefore has a special purpose in life.
Programs: The paul anderson youth home (payh) is a residential home providing christian rehabilitation for young men seeking an alternative to incarceration. The payh also equips families nationally through their family strong resources, conferences, and couseling and referrals.
