Mission: American troops are fighting the War on Terrorism worldwide. They have suffered casualties in the Philippines, Afghanistan and Iraq -- so far! After the initial shock and media attention, too many families of the service men and women killed protecting our freedom face a sad future as poverty compounds the tragedy of their losses. They receive approximately $6,000 for funeral expenses, a paltry 'pension' well below the poverty level in most states, and maybe Social Security. They also receive $50,000 in military life insurance, with an additional $200,000 available if they paid for it and only if the paperwork was in order. That's it. We owe them much more. The Patriot's Fund has only one mission: to pay this debt owed by the American people through soliciting and distributing donated funds to dead soldier's families.
