Patriots and Paws

VFVF has partnered with this great foundation for many years, it is an honor to work with them. They also support VFVF donation also.

This organization is fabulous, they have been providing household furnishings and items to veterans and active military personnel very long time. It has been the honor of Volunteers For Veterans Foundation to support this group over the years.

I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to volunteer at Patriots and Paws . I had not even the slightest Idea how much this organization and the founder herself had to offer out Veterans. The impact on the community and value this organization holds is important in so many ways.

Our Veterans deserve any and all help they can get while they are transitioning or are in any kind of need of assistance. The founder works non stop to provide these men and women with anything from clothes to household needs for them and their families.

I am a better person for spending my time here and meeting the other volunteers that give their time to show support.

I've been a volunteer for this organization for almost a year, and I have become very loyal to its mission. Donations of furniture, linens, dishes, and small appliances are made available to needy and homeless veterans. it's a great way to aid those individuals who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Special events throughout the year raise funds to support the cause, and the public is invited to these functions. Check us out!

As a volunteer for Patriots and Paws, I feel honored to help some of our American heroes in a small way. The organization is all volunteer and no-one works more or harder than the founder. I am astonished at the donations that are received and the number of Veteran families who benefit from this. Anyone looking for a non-profit to donate to and believe in, this is it. All the volunteers I have had the privilege to work with have been pleasant and hard working. The donors are grateful to be able to give to such a needed and good cause.

Patriots and Paws really succeeds to be a positive contributing member to the community. The organizational focus is to help as many of our service members (veterans, reservists, and active members) in the best way possible. Patriots and Paws is a place to feel as though your efforts are valued and appreciated.
As a true non profit; they maintain full transparency and traceability of their operational costs. No unscrupulous activities or intentions here. Just a really great place to contribute your time and/or money.
They are striving to grow and be better; to help and serve as many people as possible.

I donated 4 chairs and two lamps. While I was there I got a tour of the facility and I saw two veterans picking out home furnishings for their families. They were very thankful to Patriots and Paws for giving them this opportunity to make their lives more complete.

I have had the honor to volunteer for a truly Veteran organization. They help not only for their house hold goods are a wealth of resources to aid our heroes. They make sure donated goods go to veterans. they never sell things. they are 100% volunteer run and depend on donations to keep the warehouse going.
They treat our military as American heroes.

Patriots and Paws helps our Veterans and Military families with the household necessities they need, The furniture and appliances that are donated to Patriots and Paws are then given free of charge to the Veteran or Military family that needs them. This organization not only raises the spirits of those receiving the items, but the volunteers of Patriots and Paws are working for the greater good of our so deserving Veterans and Military Families!!! I am more than proud to be a volunteer of this worthwhile organization. As a sister of a Viet Nam veteran, I know firsthand what our veterans have gone through and continue to go through, and life is much tougher today to make it all work. Thank you Patriots and Paws, Penny and Linda for establishing this non-profit, and for all that you do!

As a volunteer of patriots and paws. I love what penny does for those that have served and that are serving. Its brings me joy that i now get to help out these vets and return the favor. The whole set up is wonderful they get to walk in and see all the new items we have been collecting through the week.

As a client and volunteer penny and the gang have more than showed what compassion and community service really means. Patriots and paws had shown me what just a little help can mean so much to others. As a veteran I am extremely glad they are there to help all service members. As a volunteer I get much satisfaction out of helping others and spreading the great word of Patriots and paws.

Patriots and Paws is an amazing nonprofit organization that has went out of there way to help me even though i'm just a volunteer. This is one of the few places where you go and can volunteer doing a lot of manual labor and it never gets tiresome. The greatest part about this place isn't just the friendly caring volunteers but also seeing the smiles on the faces of all the veterans we have helped and those yet to come. If you are a vet looking for assistance it is a great place to come. If your looking to volunteer your help will be actually appreciated and what better way to help then to give time to those who risked it all.

I was a homeless female veteran that lost everything I owned in a storage unit. I had nothing! But when the VA finally settled the Pension portion of my disability claim, I was able to finally afford to get my own place after living in a series of rooms with some very undesirable roommates. However, I did not have any furniture or houseware to make a real "home."
I was referred to 'Patriots and Paws' and while I had to wait until my name came up, I did not have a very long wait. When I was called and told to come in and pick out my furniture, I was very relieved and happy! When I did come in, the volunteers were very friendly and helpful. They assisted me to pick out what I needed and often asked to make sure that I did not need anything else. They made the whole experience very enjoyable. I received everything I needed and more. 'Patriots and Paws' also assisted me in getting my new Service Dog from WAGS at no cost to me, as well as assist me in training my Service Dog.
I will highly recommend 'Patriots and Paws' to every veteran that I know that needs furniture or assistance in helping to locate a Service Dog or a Companion Animal. The staff is all volunteers, and for the most part, they are all veterans! They are professional, friendly, caring and very accommodating. I would also highly encourage businesses and private donors to donate to this great nonprofit because 100% of what they do are done to the betterment of our veterans! God bless 'Patriots and Paws.'

As a Navy Veteran, served on the US Kittyhawk, I was surprised to learn about Patriots and Paws - Fountain Valley. The Director Penny, is very patriotic and supportive to the needs of all veterans. I was given a few donated items that relieved my stress, since I am unemployed at the moment and have not received any money from UI for quite some time now. My moral and outlook to the future have been lifted by this simple gesture. I truly appreciate all who donate and for Penny and her cause.

My roomate and I are both veterans, we just moved into an apt and didnt have furniture. Patriots and Paws gave us alot of help. Its a great organization which supports local vets. highly reccomended

Great organization that help active or retired military with household items and of course the dog(paws).
We got involved when my (estate sales & liquidations)company needed to donate items and most of the charties could not take very many items. So we looked around and heard from my senior mover and she told me about them. We got hold of Patriots and Paws and history was made. Reaching out to our clients and with their donations. They have made a huge difference for ths charity. We have been working with them for almost a year now. We enjoy the reward of making a difference to our Military in any way we can. My family was very involved in the military and I wanted to keep that alive in memory of them, but mostly for the Vets that are here and for the ones who are gone and should never be forgotten! Freedom is not Free! They all have given their time for us to have the lives we all enjoy. Some gave the ultimate sacrifice! God Bless all of them!

Patriots and Paws is a true godsend for us veterans. My husband and I were homeless for many years, and received our VASH/Section 8 voucher. Penny was so helpful in getting us the furniture and household appliances we needed to make this house a home, and at no cost to us. We appreciate this organization for all of the help they've given us, and every one of our comrades who have contacted them. God Bless Patriots and Paws

I first heard of Patriots and Paws from a social worker at the VA. This is truly a grass root organization that has no agenda other than helping veterans and service members. I was in need of a couple items. I was allowed to look through boxes and storage units.

There was no limitation on what I could have other then just a need. My sons drove me to the place Patriots and Paws are currently at. My sons especially my youngest enjoyed being there more then any of us. There were many small items that he was thrilled with especially a new pair of work gloves.

I went back to my place to make it a better home for my sons and me. The couch, we picked up needed a little work. My youngest gave it a good scrubbing. I couldn't believe it was the same couch. My son is very proud of "his" couch. I am very proud to be a veteran and mom. Most 18 year old boys wouldn't want a "handy down." My son is glad it save us money so we could use the money saved to care for us.

Penny emails me on occasion when she gets to things that I have on my wish list. I can't often make the scheduled time because of transportation. Penny is awesome in what she has set out to do and that is to help veterans, service members and their families.

Please make a donation; volunteer or contact if you can help or need help. I love that the organization provides a four legged friend if you are in need. My son has a cat and Patriots and Paws were able to give him litter which was a true blessing.

Just knowing that total strangers have come together to help us is pretty awesome. It is extremely hard to live in the streets because people look at you like you are trash. Places like P&P helps with self esteem by unconditional kindness. Keep up the great work.

I am a service connected vet who was homeless for two years. I finally got transitional housing. Now I needed furniture and household appliances. I contacted Patriots and Paws and before long I had all I needed 100% free. They really do help vets as they say.

Great organization. Me and my wife recently moved into an appartment and had only our previous bed and kitchen appliances. We contacted Patriots and Paws and informed them that we were in need of a living room sofa . within a days time we received and email and follow up phone call and was given the address were we could pick up the item . Wonderful people and a great cause ! Thank you so much !

Patriots and Paws is a unique organization that assists US veterans and rescues animals from shelters by pairing them up with veterans' families. The Carousel Inn and Suites is a hotel located 100 yards from Disneyland's main entrance. We have donated mattresses to Patriots and Paws who provide furniture for veterans. Ms. Penny who runs the organization has been great. She has helped move the mattresses herself! Her volunteers have been super to work with.

Patriots and Paws was born out of a need that was discover when my son came home from his first tour in Iraq. His unit had a Family Readiness Group (FRG) and I learned firsthand that these veteran families were in need of help with the everyday essentials that we take for granted. It has grown by the hard work of Penny Lambright along with all of the other volunteers and board members that have gotten their hands dirty to help give back to our active military, veterans and their families that served our county and have kept us out of harm’s way. I am proud to be a part of a charity that gives back 100% and in turn has seen life-changing results because of the efforts of all who are involved.

I approached this organization while working with americorps and I was thoroughly impressed with the responsiveness to the organization. Since I am also a vet I have received a warm welcome from the founder, Penny and have since then continued to volunteer with the organization by bringing vet clients that come to our offices in search of support. The feedback I get from our clients is overwhelmingly unanimous in the rise in morale and it is the kind of organization that I would like to continue to make allies in the quest to answer to the veteran homeless conflict that our society but most importantly our countries servicemen and servicewomen are faced with today. Thank you once again, Patriots and Paws.

I was asked to be part of this moving charity over a year ago. First hand I have seen how many families (over 275) we have helped to date. It takes a small village of volunteers to help bring home furnishings, household goods and pets to deserving active military and veteran families! Patriots and Paws is a blessing to us homeless Veterans. We receiving a VASH housing voucher, but then have no means as we are just getting back on our feet. My husband and I have taken a disabled, senior Veteran to Patriots and Paws, and they fully furnished his apartment with beautiful couches, a bed, dressers, dining table and entertainment center. And, Penny even gave us a few odd things that made our kitchen complete.
We have many friends who have used Patriots and Paws and are treated with kindness and respect. Patriots and Paws is an organization that truly shows their love for us Veterans.
I also commend Patriots and Paws for recognizing the importance that a service/therapy dog has in a Veterans life, especially for us suffering from PTSD. For them to offer that service is unique in itself.

I am honored to be a part of this board. I see how vets and active military families are helped on a daily basis. We are an army of volunteers doing our best to bring home furnishings and goods to these families. Vets are on our board too, so they know the struggles are real. Please consider donating! I have been volunteering with Patriots and Paws for just a couple weeks now but I have to say that It is so fulfilling for me. In the short amount of time I have spoken to many of our vets that are in great need of help. Patriots and Paws is doing just that by assisting service members with home furnishings & uniting companion pets with a new forever home.
I have the honor of speaking to Vets who have lost everything and are working in different ways to restart their lives. I hear stories of homelessness & humility & gratitude.

We learned of Patriots and Paws through another military family that they helped. They have a genuine passion for helping the military and their families that is awe inspiring. Those who work for and with Patriots and Paws understand the difficulties many military families face and want to help in whatever way they can. The organization and its affiliates actively work to provide not just the necessities but simple luxuries that families would otherwise go without. When I contacted Penny she was caring, friendly and eager to help however she could. When we arrived to the location it was obvious her work came straight from her heart. She helped us to get bookshelves, a desk, a refrigerator, and furniture for our son’s room. She was even able to get us patio furniture, something I had dreamed of owning since moving to California, but would never have been able to get on our own. Their generosity has touched the lives of my family as well as the lives of many I know. I am eternally grateful for all they do. Patriots and Paws is a true Godsend.
