Mission: Pathway Homes, Inc.'s mission is to enable adults with long-term, serious mental illness to realize their individual potential in the least restrictive environment in which they are capable of living. This is done by providing a variety of non-time-limited housing, including the necessary subsidies to make such housing affordable, and individualized supportive services. Pathways was founded in 1980, and has enjoyed a strong reputation and growth. It currently provides homes and support services to more than 350 adults with brain disorders, nearly half of whom have experienced homelessness in their past.
Programs: Residential facilities/group homes - long-term group housing for 120 chronically mentally ill adults (state and local)
shelter plus care programs - expend grant monies from the u. S. Department of housing and urban development to provide housing and services to homeless, mentally ill adults in rental apartment units.
supported residential programs - provide housing for mentally adults ill residing in a semi-independent apartment environment (state and local)
Pathway Homes helps so many individuals in our community. Sadly, in such an affluent area, many live in our woods and on our streets. Pathway Homes has helped so many in our community move off the streets and back into productive lives. Their staff is very compassionate, knowledgeable and will advocate strongly to make sure their clients get the help they need to meet their recovery goals.
