Mission: The PHVMAis a non-profit corporation formed fot charitable and educational purposes under the state of Florida for the purpose of bringing together the veterinary community in Pasco and Hernando counties and surrounding areas for the purpose of elevating the profession, animal welfare,and community awareness in these areas.
Programs: Veterinarians and staff visit local shelter for domestic violence victims (women and children) with approved pets for "pet therapy." Residents are encouraged to interact with the animals and learn about responsible care and stewardship.
