The folks at PAC are some of the most passionate and dedicated non-profiteers for the Arts I've ever met. Under their fiscal sponsorship program (EMERGE) I was able to get my fledgling organization (Reading Opens Minds)off the ground and serving the community. They provide guidance and encouragement as well as all of the financial management. Right now through Oct 16, they are hosting the Axs Festival showcasing LA County artists both visual and performing with most of the events free to the public! AMAZING!

Mission: The Pasadena Arts Council is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that provides resources, programs and services to artists, arts and cultural organizations, audiences, young people and visitors to Pasadena. The agency offers an independent voice for promoting a vibrant cultural community by facilitating, empowering and advocating for the arts.
Programs: The emerge program provides support, resources, and opportunities to a broad spectrum of independent artists, collectives, and small arts organizations. Our goal is to provide artists with the necessary tools to create a sustainable practice while allowing them to remain independent, dynamic, and responsive to the ever changing social and economic contexts in which they live and work. Emerge engages visual art, dance, music, literary arts, theater, arts education, and community festivals across the greater los angeles region.
