This group is special to me because I lost my mother to ovarian cancer and she was a beneficiary of their services. I had the opportunity to join this board and have been a board member for the past 7 years! This is a wonderful group and I am honored to be a part of it and the wonderful services they offer to people going through a gynecological cancer.

They are caring and committed to helping the community. They help women with the everyday things that sometimes get looked over. How are they going to pay for their prescriptions or groceries or gas, PGCS helps take care of that. Being there for these women and making them part of a family and of something bigger in a difficult time in their lives. if you are in need or want to help this is a great organization to become a part of.

It is my pleasure to know Sue and several other Board members of PGCS. I have of observed on numerous occasions the compassion that they each have for helping women going through a gynecological diagnosis and/or treatment. They know first hand how that experience not only effects your physical health but your mental and financial health as well. That is where they step in-by providing gift cards and other financial help along with the Pretty Place Salon (which is totally free to the patient)! The feeling they provide, that some cares about you and is stepping up to help, far exceeds any amount on the gift card. That is why I donate to support this worthy cause, and hope others will also.

I felt the compassion, caring of this group who had taken on the task of helping me fight my cancers from the first visit to the last. And to top it off, receiving the gift card, was overwhelming. Deeply appreciative to help us even more, is beyond the words I can’t express enough how much it meant. It definitely helped offset some of the expenses we were dealing with. Such an awesome caring group of individuals.

I was surprised. After being diagnosed with endometrial cancer, I started my chemo. On my first day of chemo, as I walked out of the infusion center, I was handed, by the secretary, a $300 Kroger gift card. Like I said, I was surprised. I was, at the time, unaware as to who supplied the card. I later learned that gas cards are given to those who need them as well.
When people come a long way for treatment , PGCS supplies funds for the family to stay overnight in a motel. If you have a special need it is considered. For example, I needed a new pair of glasses. After insurance I still needed $240. I asked Sue (our director) about it and though I was approved I found a cheaper way to get glasses.
I went to the website and watched the video and decided that I wanted to help.
I have been volunteering every since as a survivor!
We are all gynecological cancer survivors, so we know what it is like to go through this process. It's not fun,but we can help others through it, both financially and as a friend who has been there.

Sue and PGCS have an unending passion for raising awareness and reduce the financial toxicity for women being treated for gynecological cancer in NE Georgia. I have been a friend and supporter of their efforts for many years and have witnessed their tremendous impact to so many women. Recently, I worked alongside
Sue as she donated to the NGHS Foundation to benefit these suffering patients. It is evident it is more than just financial support. It is making sure wigs and makeup and all the pretties are available to these ladies that do not have the personal resources. A dollar amount can't be put on this kind of passion. We are so fortunate to have Sue and her team of volunteers and donors right here in Northeast Georgia!

I have been associated with PGCS since its inception in 2013, first as an advisor and volunteer and currently as a Board member. During this time, PGCS has assisted almost 1500 women in northeast Georgia who were undergoing treatment for a gynecological cancer. PGCS puts $300 gift cards into the hands of underserved patients, and the patient can use the gift card for groceries, gas, medications or any other supply available at a Kroger grocery store. PGCS also covers hotel stays for women traveling more than 100 miles the day prior to surgery. In 2023, PGCS expanded by opening a salon next to the chemo lab, where patients can choose a wig, hat, scarf or jewelry at no cost to them.

Through PGCS I have been given an opportunity to help an organization that truly cares for women when they need it most. Dealing with life altering issues and being out of work should not be followed with “how do I feed my kids” or “how am I going to pay for utilities “. I’ve personally witnessed the difference we make in relieving some of that stress. By giving women $300 gift cards, by way of our fund raising efforts, to help reduce their burden. Dealing with cancer is hard enough. They shouldn’t have to worry about everything else life throws their way. Please help us help the women in our community and surrounding area.

I have volunteered with this organization for several years. This is a special organization in that the profits go directly to benefit the women with a Gynecological Cancer. These women may need help with food, transportation, hotels and other
personal needs. It helps them deal with their needs while they fight their battle with cancer.

PGCS helps women in North Georgia who are going through gyn cancer treatments. I have received grants from them over the last two years which was so helpful during treatment! They also sponsor a room that helps women get hats, wigs, scarves, or jewelry when dealing with hairless or need to feel pretty. This is a wonderful non-profit that helps many women in other ways also.

For 10 years the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support has assisted over 1500 women in North Georgia that are undergoing treatment for a Gynecological cancer by providing funds for gas, groceries and noninsured medicines. Most recently they have begun giving wigs, hats and scarves to these same women. There is never a charge or repayment for this service.

Sue and her group are a life saver for so many of our patients. The gift cards that she raises money for and gives to our patients lets them be able to get medications, eat, get prescriptions and gas. When patients have no insurance and even when they do have insurance they can be responsible for the medications they need for nausea, pain and other side effects of cancer. Often they may be forced to choose medication over food. Sue also has covered other expenses for patients such as directly paying their rent. Gynecological cancers can be a long term illness that can deplete the patients funds and Sue is an incredible support for them.

I see everyday how this organization helps our patients. Cancer takes an incredible emotional, financial and physical toll on our patients. The Partnership for Gynecological Support helps our patients by providing financial support so that they can concentrate on the physical and emotional side of cancer treatment. It is such a wonderful blessing to patients who often must choose medication or food. I have seen personally how they have truly changed cancer patients life.

The $300 they give doesn't change the recipient's life, but it does make their life easier knowing someone cares.

Amazing work in a few short years! Sue has driving this organization to tremendous success. PGCS continues to help women with GYN cancers with all of the things that insurance does not: gas, food, bills, etc. Things that often go unpaid during chemotherapy. Truly an amazing act of love and caring for her fellow fighters.

What a wonderful non-profit! The money donated to PGCS actually goes to the VICTIMS of gynecological cancer in the form of gift cards for groceries, gas , payments for prescriptions and special procedures (as opposed to administrative costs). THIS is what a non-profit is supposed to look like! Rest assured that your donations will be well-used and help those that really need the help.

Several years ago a close friend, since childhood, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I knew very little about this type of cancer. I started to find out more about this cancer as her illness progressed. I attended the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support's first fundraiser. I attended with another dear friend that had just found out she had ovarian cancer. Both of these ladies fought a very courageous battle, but as happens to so many, their cancer had progressed before they showed any symptoms. The Partnership of Gynecological Cancer Support (PGCS) has given me the ability to honor the memory of my friends.
This nonprofit organization does so much for women that have no place else to turn. Other than operating expenses, the money raised and donated goes to support these women and help make their struggles a little easier and to know that somebody cares about them. Because of our annual fundraiser in September (Ovarian Cancer month), the PGCS has helped raise our communities awareness of these types of cancer.

I have been involved, either on the board or volunteering, in numerous support organizations in my community through the years. I have never seen such dedication for their cause and sheer determination to make a difference in the lives of those in need than PGCS. Since it`s inception just a few short years ago, it has made an indelible, positive impact on the community by increasing the awareness of gynecological cancers and the need for the support that PGCS provides.

I have watched Sue and Deb fight this disease and then form this organization to help other women in need. While Deb has lost her fight, Sue and all the volunteers and the board members are working hard to provide financial support as well as education information for women in the Northern GA area. PGCS has no salary or rent to pay in order to return as much of their funds as possible to the women in need. As a board member, I have watched all the members and volunteers not only donate many hours and days of their time, but also provide substantial amounts of their own money to keep Sue and Deb's dream of helping as many women as possible with Gynecological Cancer alive. IF you give, you can be assured your donation is going to help the women being treated for this disease in their time of need.

PGCS has found a way to extend a enormous hug to women going through some of the most difficult challenges one faces in life. The complexity of cancer care and it financial impact on the day to day expenses of families is often overshadowed by the cancer diagnosis itself. By remaining true to their mission women are feeling an ease in financial stressors as well as a feeling of true caring from the foundation. PGCS is making a difference.

What an amazingly generous group of people! I feel that they really care about all that they come in contact and help with daily non-insured expenses ie the things no one really seems to realize that cancer patients need. They are a blessing to many.

I have been honored to help out with the graphic design for this amazing organization. The story of how Sue & Debbie, both diagnosed with ovarian cancer, set out to raise awareness of this disease is inspiring. They formed a mosaics art venture called The 2 Broken Broads to show that broken does not mean without beauty and purpose. They then took it to another level with the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support to raise funds to to help others affected by this horrible cancer. Although Debbie lost her battle with the disease last year, Sue continues the fight .

I am proud to be a part of The Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support. PGCS is a non profit completely run by volunteers, so almost all money raised and/or donated goes directly to financially help women in financial need who are undergoing cancer treatment. PGCS lets these women know that someone cares and wants to help.

Many non-profits are large national organizations that do great things in supporting research and awareness but very few make a difference on the individual level. Being able to financially help someone in need , at a stressful time for them is a wonderful thing. That is what this organization does.

The stress of facing unpaid bills and the expenses of daily living can be devastating when a woman is undergoing treatment for gynecological cancer. Imagine not being able to continue to earn a living because of the effects of your disease. You're wiped out from chemo, you feel alone and helpless and the last thing you need is the threat of having your power disconnected or of not being able to purchase groceries because your income is gone.

While many worthwhile organizations are funding much-needed research and raising money that leaves the community, the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support is a lifeline right here in Northeast Georgia. Funds raised are given to gynecological cancer patients in the local community to help pay their grocery bills, their utility bills and contribute toward their housing.

These women are probably your neighbors, your friends' mothers or sisters, or associates at work. They may even be immediate family members. And because of the Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support directly supports them in a very real way, they may have a little more energy and hope to manage their treatment, and perhaps beat the odds of survival.

The Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support meets cancer patients right where they are, with financial support at the time when they need it the most. More than 95 percent of all monies raised goes directly to patients. In 2014, the group helped more than 250 cancer patients because of donations from companies and individuals in Northeast Georgia.

Founded by ovarian cancer survivors, the Partnership daily makes a difference where you live -- for your neighbor, your friend, your work associate and your family member. The Partnership relies on donations and grants. How can you help?
