Mission: CCPFC is a nonprofit organization formed in 1993 in response to North Carolina's "SMART START" initiative, a public-private, community-based strategy to help all NC children enter school healthy and ready to succeed. The partnership is responsible for developing a collaborative strategy to meet the needs of approximately 27,000 children in the local community. This strategy utilizes allocated funds to: develop direct services for children and families; develop parenting education and provider training programs; develop health initiatives; and develop various other plans which are needed to help children and strengthen and empower families.
