Partners In Ministry is one of God's gifts to Scotland County residents. Partners In Ministry offers everything from an afterschool program, mentoring program, housing repair program, food pantry, community garden, gift shop, computer lab, free over-the-counter, medicine, vaccination site, senior outreach, and many more programs and services.
I volunteer for this organization and can attest that much good is accomplished for both the recipients of the aid and the volunteers. I work to improve substandard housing in the district. Much is said about housing needs in third world countries, which I know are immense, but many people in our district also suffer from substandard housing. When the condition of a house is improved, both the homeowner, volunteers, and the entire neighborhood benefits. It is an investment in people's lives - not just a house. And God is glorified! The work that Partners in Ministry does directly improves the lives of many in our district

Very good non-profit that works to alleviate poverty. I am an Americorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) working with the organization for a year. Donations are crucial for this organization, because of the extreme depth of poverty in the area and the number of children, elderly, and disabled who are suffering because of it. I've heard first-hand from people struggling just to put food on the table and heat their homes in the winter.
