I love Rosemary. She is professional and very caring. She pays attention. She goes out of her way. I am very thankful for PFBCC, and do not know what I would have done without them. The icing on the cake is having Rosemary help us out. Rosemary takes the stress and worry away because she takes care of everything that needs to be done. Thank you, Rosemary and thank you, PFBCC

A couple of years ago, a friend convinced my husband to be on the Board of this wonderful organization...one I'd never heard of in 12 years of living in Ft. Myers. I was so proud of my husband for accepting the position. Then I attended a couple of luncheons that they hosted as fundraisers and I was hooked. Truly hooked. Listening to the stories of people served by Partners for Breast Cancer Care, both men and women, was nothing short of remarkable. They told us how this group of dedicated folks changed, and saved, their lives. It is impossible to hear of their struggling journey without coming away changed yourself...and REALLY no way to be dry eyed. And then the doctors and caseworkers and other volunteers talked of their involvement and my faith in humanity was renewed. Now, I am so fortunate to be able to be part of this local organization that does so much with so little. In just a short time, I have been able to educate people around me about PfBCC, and they too are very excited to know that this type of assistance is available in our area...and only for people in our area. Many of them have said "How can I help?"

One of the first things I noticed being on the Board was that every person who volunteers does it simply because they want to help. We rarely make it through a meeting without having at least one emotional moment. They understand that helping even one person is helping our world a little at a time. It's just plain awesome.

Our mission is to save lives and reduce suffering from breast cancer through improved early detection, education, and access to healthcare.

Partners for Breast Cancer Care, Inc. is a unique organization that is dedicated to serving our community's women and men who desperately need our help. We fund breast care procedures such as screening, diagnostic testing, surgery, and treatment for underserved Lee County women and men at no cost to them. Our clients are carefully screened for qualification and must prove to our case managers that they are up to and including 200% of the poverty level, have lived in Lee County for one year, have no health insurance and a valid Social Security number. We have experienced an increase in the number of people needing our services in the past few years while funding has become increasingly more difficult to secure. we are a "one-of-a-kind" oganization offering free breast health care to Lee County residents, many of whom have nowhere else to turn for assistance.

Partners for Breast Cancer Care, Inc. is the only non-profit organization in Lee County that provides no-cost breast screening and diagnostic testing to low-income, uninsured women and men of any age. Since 2006 we have helped 7,454 residents and provided 11,665 breast care procedures at no cost to the client. During this time we have expended $1,531,685. Our services fund mammograms, ultrasounds, stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and MRI guided biopsies, surgical consultations, breast MRI and excisional breast biopsy. We have referred 5,404 women and men to other providers to assure that all receive needed services. In the past 7 1/2 years we have diagnosed 1 man and 103 women with breast cancer.

Our mission is to save lives and reduce suffering from breast cancer through improved early detection, education, and access to healthcare.
