Causes: International, International Human Rights, International Peace & Security
Mission: Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) is a dynamic network of over 1300 legislators from 117 parliaments engaged in a range of action-oriented initiatives that promote democracy, peace, justice and development throughout the world.
Programs: PGA operates through three programme areas, Peace and Democracy program works with parliamentarians on two levels: through building better relationships between parliaments, and in supporting the principles of parliamentary democracy in establishing moderate, stable political systems in each country. International Law and Human Rights Programme has focused its attention on the worldwide ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Sustainable Development, Health and Population Programme has worked to inform parliamentarians and stimulate effective policymaking in two main areas, Population and Reproductive Health as well as Environment.
