What an amazing organization. Their commitment to enhance the quality of life in Clark County through the support of parks, trails, and recreational programs. It's a great place to live and work because it has access to parks, among many other things. Without these parks, our children would not be able to make the friendships they have and play on incredible play structures.
The community benefits greatly from the many activities this foundation organizes each year, which also serve to unite the community in support of those in need and ensure that our children have a secure environment in which to play and develop.
Our family moved to Vancouver in the summer of 1980. Without the availability of a parks and recreation summer camp program at Leverich Park, we (a 9- and 7-year-old) would have been idle at home while both parents worked to support our family. Who knows what trouble we could have found! We participated in the program each of the first two summers in our new community. The summer camp kept us active, engaged and challenged with learning activities, arts and crafts, games, exploration of the park, and learning about our environment. We also made new friends, and a few of those have been lifelong! It's easy to fully credit this summer camp program with both keeping us kids out of trouble, affording us the opportunity to make new friends in our new community, and keeping us on a positive path through those first couple of years in Vancouver. So... needless to say, I fully support the availability of these programs for the youth of our community....and so much appreciate the important partnership between the Parks Foundation, the City of Vancouver, and generous donors/philanthropists who work diligently to see that these camps continue to be available for our youth.
As a custom home builder in Clark County for more than 45 years, the health and outdoor vibrancy of Clark County has been the singular greatest draw for our new home clients. I support the Parks Foundation because they work diligently to direct funds and resources to our county wide parks. More than ever families are realizing the value of beautiful, functional and well kept parks.
The Parks Foundation of Clark County helps fund important parks, trails, and recreation opportunities throughout Clark County. Clark county wouldn't be the beautiful place it is today without them. Our kids wouldn't be able to play on amazing play structures, have the friendships they have from meeting people at these parks. This foundation also does so much more for the community, from multiple events each year to bring the community together, to working together to help those in need, to ensure that our kids have safe place to play and grow.

The mission and programs of the Parks Foundation of Clark County (PFCC) including community grants provide crucial support for parks and natural spaces in our beautiful region. PFCC also serves as an integral hub and fiscal agent for public, corporate, nonprofit and philanthropic partners that share the same vision and goals. Parks and natural spaces are also regional economic drivers and every dollar invested in supporting them comes back with greater returns especially in a time of enormous growth in Clark County.
Parks and natural spaces are accessible and equitable gateways to the natural world which are critical to our collective mental and physical health. As we all navigated an unprecedented global pandemic the treasures that are our parks became lifelines to the community and to the natural world.
The ecological and biological diversity of our county is unique on a global scale and ranges from stunning crystal clear lakes and emerald rivers; to volcanic formations; to waterfalls; to white sand beaches; to grasslands; to ancient cathedrals of trees; to volcanic formations; to creative and inclusive playgrounds; to challenging skate parks and to amazing dog parks. It is all here welcoming us to come together collectively as a community and to recreate.

Everywhere I've lived in Clark County has been blessed to be near a park or trail. Some of my fondest memories are of taking my daughters on long walks through the trees, exploring the many paths, and discovering nature together.
