Park Springs Christian camp has been apart of our children’s lives since they were old enough to attend buddy camp! Our kids are now 13,15, and 17 years old. Not only were they campers, but now desire to serve in the roles of junior counselors and counselors. Our family has attended as campers and served at camp for 10 years. Our time there has been very fulfilling and spiritually uplifting. As parents, it is very rewarding to see your children in leadership roles for Christ which this camp was an avenue for them to have those opportunities. Park Springs Christian Camp and Retreat Center allows kids and adults to soak up God’s creation with the natural backdrop of wooded acreage and water while learning about Jesus and growing closer to Him. Tim Powell and his wife Sheri oversee the camp and all the logistics. They have done an outstanding job caring for the grounds and reaching out to and utilizing supporting churches to further the upkeep of the facility so that the camp can continue to support the work in children’s lives to further God’s kingdom. We have been blessed by our time there and pray that so many other families get to share in experiences like our family has.
Life is defined by a series of moments. Memories that carry us through life and are even talked about when people are leaving this life to pass on to the next. Park springs for me has so many happy memories from my childhood and into adulthood. I started going as a middle schooler and every summer my grandparents would drive my brother and I up for the week with our church friends. When my children started going as middle schoolers I realized being at camp as an adult was where I wanted to be too, so I started volunteering as the camp nurse each year. Not only did I get to witness children's lives change and pour into them, but it was also changing me and my walk in Christ. Our memories are all tied to a feeling. Park Springs brings back such feelings of joy, peace and happiness for me because it reminds of my grandparents that have passed on, the children that confessed their belief in Christ including my own children that were baptized there, and the sense of family as a reminder that we are not alone in our walk. My prayer is that Park Springs can continue to be there long after my memories are gone.
I grew up going to Park Springs... From second grade through a senior in high school. These were the best summers spent with other youth that was also where I was in my walk with Christ. As I had children of my own, they also went to Park Springs for a week of camp each year, also up through high school.
While my children were of age, I was an adult chaperone. I would use a week or two, of my summers to help out at Park Springs. My desire to do so came from the joy that Park Springs brought to me as I was young. Even as an adult, I still learned and grew in my walk with Christ, because of Park Springs.
Now that my children are grown, I like to help preserve the grounds, by joining in to volunteer with work days. My hopes are that my grandchildren will also have the experience of Park Springs Christian Camp.

Park Springs is where I loved spending my summers, all the way from 2nd grade to a senior in high school. I would experience a closeness with Christ and make wonderful friendships that has lasted into my adulthood. I sent my own children to Park Springs each summer and it's still as wonderful! There are separate cabins for boys and girls that's air-conditioned, a wonderful pool with a slide, a pond that has been used for fishing, canoeing, and swimming, and I can't not mention...there's Carpet Ball, that was probably invented at Park Springs. There's a rock wall and Zipline that takes you from one side of the pond to the other and not to mention the wonderful couple that runs the facilities and brings such friendliness and warmth. During the great summer camp weeks, youth is led to find their own walk with Jesus Christ and given opportunities to play fun games with others in their age group/weeks. The adult supervision is always their to help, from how to be on time for events, to help find scripture in their Bibles. What a wonderful camp for the youth!..and retreats!!
My grandchildren have been attending Park Springs for at least 10 years. It was always the highlight of their summers! My oldest granddaughter was baptized there during summer camp! Having to miss his summer due to Covid was very disappointing for them! I have seen the improvements in the facilities done through the years. There is no doubt that Park Springs is a special place! I have attended many functions at this facility and enjoyed all of them. The campus is very nice and the lake adds additional beauty.
I attended a Ladies' Workshop at Park Spring Christian Camp and found the building where the meeting was held to be very nice and the surroundings grounds and facilities lovely. It was a perfect place for worship and study.
Park springs really helped my walk in christ both as a child and as a young adult. I grew up going to camp there and worked as a life guard. You can truly feel christ presence when you walk onto the campus.
We were able to take out youth group to Park Springs in Aug 2020. They accommodated us even with all that was going on. Our students had an amazing time. This was specifically a blessing because they cooked for us as well (usually our leaders do that), which gave us time to spend hanging with our students. Much to do for all, great setup, and amazing servants. Thanks!
We have held several retreats and outings at Park Springs. Their staff is so helpful. They always check with leadership to make sure everything is to our liking. Tim and Christine are also very prompt in returning our calls. They recently extended their health permit on the pool to accommodate our group,
Masculine Journey Radio Boot Camps loves Park Springs. We have used Park Springs for almost 10 years for Men's Boot Camps, Women retreats, and family events. As a ministry no connected with any church we need a facility that will allow us to minister to broken men and and others in a unique way. Our events need a cool masculine meeting space or a space that can be transformed into a beautiful and comforting place for ladies. PS has always been that for us. They have allowed us to transform sparse cabins into a wonderfully inviting prayer rooms and so many other things like that. We often send folks out into a reflection time for a an hour or so to pray and hear from God. There is plenty of space to do this and allow everyone to have the privacy they need.
Oh Man... Park Springs is AWESOME!!! Send your kids there to summer camp - book it for a group!! Lots of Fun, Fishing, Camping & quiet relaxing to be had!!
I have great memories of Park Springs from my childhood all the way through my High School years then having the opportunity to serve with the staff and work on projects at the camp. Park Springs is a great place to unplug and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. The camp has so much to offer for activities with the pool, the zip line, the challenge course and the climbing wall. The staff has done so much to get the facilities up to par and make the camp so nice. God is good and continues to bless Park Springs so others can get the opportunity to grow closer to God and grow in their faith. I love Park Springs, it has been in my life for most all of my life.
I've had the privilege to volunteer at Park Springs and I am always taken with the beauty and serenity of this camp.
This camp is great. It has done a lot for me, taught me work ethic, showed me how I can help in all ways for Gods glory(even begins the scenes), and gave me life long, irreplaceable friends.
Our church quilt ministry has been going to the camp 2 times a year since 2910. We love it up there. We hate to leave and count the days until we return. The scenery is beautiful. The staff is very accommodating. You can truly feel God’s presence. If your ladies group needs a weekend or a week away this place is awesome. We started out at a weekend and now stay for a week with anywhere from 14 to 21 in attendance.
Park Springs Christian Camp and Recreational Center has changed my life for the better. It has given me a place to go when I felt I had no other. It helped me come to the realization of who my God is and that I have Jesus Christ on my team. It showed me that God loves me and if He loves me then who can be against me.
We had the honor to visit Park Springs last summer. We fell in love with the land, view and wonderful hosts - Tim & Sheri.
Park Springs has been apart of my life for almost 25 years. I had the privilege to attend Park Springs Christian Camp from the time I was 7 year old until today where I go each summer for a week as a counselor. I remembering coming to know Jesus when I was nine years old at Junior week of camp and that is where the seeds were planted and every year since God keeps stretching me and planting more seeds. Park Springs makes me homesick for heaven and I'm so thankful for the impact it has had on me and many others.
My first time at this beautiful camp. Beautiful Lake & woods. Very peaceful & nice facility. Friendly Director & Staff. Other volunteers were amazing. I am from out of State but already looking forward to my next visit.
We were able to find rest, Relaxation and peace. Beautiful scenery. Amazing staff. Enjoyed getting to know the people we met. Looking forward to a return visit.
Park Springs is an amazing place where students and adults alike can have fun, enjoy incredible fellowship, and discover more about the God who loves them. In my nine summers going to the camp, it has always been wonderfully maintained by the director. The camp is supported by many area churches who want to see the camp thrive and change lives for the Kingdom of God. Check out Park Springs to disconnect from the world and recharge with the Father.
I started as a camper back in the mid nineties and then began serving the camp as a junior counselor, a camp dean, and now serve on the camp board. My life is touched every time I step fort on campus and have seen God do amazing things at Park Springs.
I visited Park Spring Camp for the first time last weekend. Love the scenery, the ever-present peace of GOD that’s there and warm and welcoming hosts Tim & Sheri Powell! We WILL be visiting again soon!!
Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I was introduced to Park Springs in 1995 by by wife who came as a camper during their 1st year in existence back in 1977. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!!!!! Have been blessed with opportunities to serve in lots of capacities and would recommend this camp to anyone.
Great location, great group of volunteers, fantastic staff are only a small part of the wonderful joy that you feel deep down in your soul when pulling up on site.
I have taken kids to this camp for years and now my kids go and they say that Park Springs in their "happy place". They can't wait to go each year. I noticed upgrades last year and I hear more are expected this upcoming summer. I can't wait to see what my kids get to enjoy this year.
I went to Park Springs in high school and it made such an impact on my life that now my own kids have been campers since they were old enough to attend! They call it “their happy place” and it’s the highlight of their summer.
My group had a great time at Park Springs! Tim and Sheri were extremely gracious hosts and even made some changes for us upon arrival to help us have the best experience possible for our retreat. They were also flexible and willing to shift schedules to make sure we were able to enjoy everything we wanted when weather interrupted our original plans. This is a wonderful camp with lots of charm and class!
I have been a part of Park Spring since kindergarten..... and that was 1981! I have been a camper, weekly counselor, volunteer summer staff, paid summer staff, and now a board member. I can’t get enough of this place! ❤️❤️❤️

I was a camper at Park Spring Christian Camp for 14 years and I LOVED every moment! I loved PS so much that I volunteered for 2 summer as a kitchen helper and after those 2 years I became paid summer staff for two additional years! Now I have two of my own children attending PS and a husband that attends 3 weeks of camp as a counselor! As an adult I have been a part of MANY retreats, PS functions and I have been on the camp board for 2 terms. I LOVE PARK SPRINGS and I am thankful that I have had many opportunities to see lives changed and transformed because of PARK SPRINGS!!!!! To God be the GLORY!
This camp changed the lives of the students I serve. They were brought closer to God, experienced the love of God through the awesome staff, and brought a number of great stories home to share with their family and friends.
Great camp. My kids have been coming to Park Springs for 10 years now. It is fun, friendly and life changing. They are able to stay relevant to todays kids with both activities and teaching. it is a tremendous place for kids to spend time and a great place for adults to help. It has and will continue to change lives.
Piedmont Christian Assembly continues to impact lives in a positive way through Park Springs Christian Camp. They not only provide fun and adventure for students during the summer, but there is also the year-round availability for group retreats for a few days to get away from the busyness of life and be surrounded by the beauty that is nature. The biggest impact I personally have noticed is the way summer camps transform the lives of so many students. A week of camp at Park Springs is full of opportunities for learning and growth. There are students who come to camp year after year, with it being the highlight of their summer, and I believe that is a testament to the greatness of Park Springs. It is important for students to have programs that build firm foundations that cause them to grow up and seek to make positive impacts with their own lives, and Park Springs provides just that.
Park Springs Christian Camp is in the business of changing lives. Park Springs has spent countless hours on being the best camp that they can be. The camp has updated all the buildings in the last few years, they've added a new pool, and they've re-done there gym so it can be used for multiple purposes. Most of this work was done by volunteers who have experienced camp either as an adult or as a child and knows the value of making Park Springs the best that it can be. Park Springs makes a difference in so many lives and they accomplish that by putting God first in all that they do.
Park Springs Christian Camp (run by Piedmont Christian Assembly) is a model for other camps. As with most non-profits, Park Springs operates on a very tight budget, but gets maximum impact. In the last few years every building on campus has been updated and a renewed focus has been brought to providing scholarships for those that need them and dedicating resources to develop leaders. Hundreds of campers a year experience a week away from all the distractions of life to form memories and friendships that last a lifetime because of the great core of volunteers and the dedicated donors that make it all possible.
