Causes: Education
Mission: The park hill parents' day out cooperative provides care for children while teaching an age appropriate spanish curriculum. The program is open to children that are walking, no longer taking a morning nap, and at least 2 years up to 4 years old. The goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children providing an education-based program, primarily focused on language acquisition skills.
Programs: Classroom sessions: park hill parents' day out is held on monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday, from 9:00am to 1:30pm. Each child may attend one or two days a week. There are two classrooms and each has a paid caregiver and one working parent. The younger class has 8 or 9 children between the ages of two to about three years old. The older class has 9 or 10 children between the ages of about three up to four years old. The pdo sessions are three months long so that every family can fulfill their working day in the classroom. Pdo sessions run throughout the year but are closed for major holidays.
