Parish Proud partnered with my company to establish quarterly dates for employees to get together and beautiful areas around Lafayette. They made it so easy to have these team building experiences, by recommending a site to beautify, supplying the tools needed for a trash pick up, and educating us on what could be done and how to get the resources. We felt very organized by partnering with them and were able to make a big impact on the spaces we adopted.
Lafayette Parish, and the Acadiana area, are very fortunate to have such a hard-working group of individuals and organizations who want nothing but the best for the area. Parish Proud' s passion and drive to beautify and educate Acadiana has set a high standard for others to follow. Parish Proud has been able to successfully reach the volunteering spirt of so many people with a united goal of positivity for our future.
Parish Proud is an amazing nonprofit organization. They are focused on keeping our community beautiful while influencing people to volunteer and care about their cities. Parish Proud is growing rapidly because their mission is powerful and positive.
I started volunteering with Parish Proud in 2021. At that time, I was an employee of Republic Waste Services in Lafayette. I really enjoyed all of the work they did around our community specifically the litter and beautification programs on University Avenue, a major gateway into the city of Lafayette. Over time I was able to get other employees at Republic Waste involved in their weekly volunteer events. The effort became so big that our company decided to further assist their efforts by becoming the official litter and waste collection provider for all of their events. Since that time we have partnered to develop additional litter mitigation programs at major city festivals and placemaking events. We are very proud of our involvement with the organization and all of the tireless work they do to make Lafayette a place that we are proud to call home.
Parish Proud is an awesome way to get involved in keeping our beautiful home clean and special. Love this organization.
Parish Proud is doing amazing things to help make and keep Acadiana beautiful! I had the opportunity to volunteer last year and it was incredibly rewarding and exciting. Please keep up the great work!
I volunteered with Parish Proud for Parish Proud Day last September with my company. We had a great experience working with their staff to schedule our employees. Since then, we've added them to our workplace giving program!
Parish Proud is the preeminent placemaking organization in Southwest Louisiana. Volunteers are allowed to get hands on in our community, whether by picking up litter and blight, refreshing our parks and public spaces, or clearing our waterways. Parish Proud directly organizes many events but also supports organic events throughout our community hosted by numerous community and civic partners (both big and small). The vision is to instill pride in the residents of Acadiana and unleash the power of this fantastic community.

As someone living in Lafayette Parish, I can see the difference Parish Proud is making in my community! From litter clean up on the roadsides, to projects improving our public parks, and doing this by getting teams together motivated to make a difference in our parish, it's very inspiring to see people committed to making positive change for our environment! I'm happy a non-profit like this exists in my area, as it's such a beautiful place- and they are actively making it even better.
I was very fortunate to be in Lafayette and learn about Parish Proud and the terrific work that they are doing. Their programs are really making a difference, and the number of volunteers are growing constantly. Parish Proud helps to inspire community pride and give businesses, schools, community groups, families and individuals an opportunity to make Acadiana clean and beautiful.
As SoLa residents we are extremely proud of our culture and the environment we live in. Parish proud supports active, local involvement, keeping the area we so know and love a place where visitors love to come and visit.
Parish Proud is doing an excellent job of educating our community on the importance of litter abatement, in addition to the benefits of overall city-wide beautification efforts on our local economic development. They've successfully engaged numerous individuals and companies in the Acadiana area to participate, and continue to grow a guiding coalition of folks who want to see our community thrive. Their events are well-organized, easy to participate in numerous capacities, and leave you feeling accomplished. I'm definitely proud to be a participant!
