I have been a donor with PHP for four years. I decided to dedicate my donation dollars to Parents Helping Parents because PHP has a staff who care, really care about the parents and children they serve. They not only have many resources for families, but they continue to research opportunities that parents can take advantage of.
Is there a child in your extended family who was hit by a car, born disabled or became autistic? Believe me, the parents need guidance to keep an even keel within their lives. PHP provides that stability in an inspiring way. I admire the staff who make this possible. I am not a big donor, but I give gladly whenever I can.

I've been a donor to PHP for almost 35 years and have been blessed 100 fold in all the benefits for my son. He has a life that I could not imagine possible when he was an infant. I thank PHP everyday for giving us our life back and for our believing in a future for our adult son with physical and intellectual disabilities.

I have been involved with PHP for nearly 20 years and still benefit from the advice and resources that they have for me and my young adult son with autism. This is an amazing organization with wonderful, caring people and great resources and information. If you have a child (or adult) with disabilities, special health care needs or other challenges or if you work with someone, this is a great place to connect and get help.

Absolutely wonderful organization!! I have cold-called twice looking for advice, and guidance. The person who answered my call immediately connected me with someone that could help.
PHP are a bunch of caring, empathetic, and smart parents who truly want to help - and if they don't know the answer right off the bat, they'll find the answer and follow-up swiftly!
LOVE this organization!!!!

I started working at PHP as a volunteer around 2 years ago. I had remembered how helpful they were when my children were young and I called them for help with their special needs. I had such a lasting impression of how well I was treated and how resourceful they were, that I made the decision to give back by volunteering for them.

I was placed at the front desk and got a lot of visibility and made many contacts from co-workers. When PHP had a part-time opening they asked me if I would like the position and I jumped at the chance to make a difference. I am now in Family Resources and have been here for about 1.5 years working 12 hours a week. I could not ask for a more caring group of people to work with, and have found that to be true in all of our departments. We all bend over backwards to help parents in need. We want them to know they are not "alone". Most of us that work here have a child or sibling with special needs. We get "it" when the parent calls in. We do whatever we can to provide them with valuable resources. After all my years in the workforce, I have finally found a job I am truly excited about. The staff are the most caring individuals I have ever worked with. They all care about making a difference in people's lives.

I first found out about PHP 20 years ago when a friend was talking about it at our neighborhood playgroup. Some years later when my son was diagnosed with Asperger's they were an invaluable resource for all aspects of the diagnosis. We were able to take advantage of many different resources: special education information, IEP workshops, advocacy training, parent support groups, adaptive technology information, a very well stocked library of reference materials on just about every disability, seminar speakers with the diagnosis, independence information fairs and transition to adulthood information. The PHP organization has grown in size and scope over the past years and they are a huge asset to our community. Thank you PHP!!!

As a special education attorney, I highly endorse PHP as an invaluable resource for parents. Parents consistently praise their knowledge and expertise of special education, IEPs, 504 Plans and trainings. Thank you for all you do.

I started supporting PHP through a friend that was on the board and got my exposure through her serveral years ago. I help with fundraising yearly now and voluteer for the children's Christmas event as Santa's elf. The families and children I have seen and interacted with are so very grateful for the wonderful support and resources that PHP provides. They take away the overwhelming feeling of being all alone that these parents feel. I've seen people moved to tears and the children (of all ages even up to 50) with special needs are beautiful, loving, gentle souls who want nothing more than to live a life with people who love them and create a safe world for them. PHP helps famlies come together to do that and the people who work there are the most loving and giving people imaginable who believe in a quality of life for everyone. Please support them any way you can - it is one of the most fullfilling pieces in my life.

Can't say enough nice things about this organization. They are so helpful to families with children with special needs (all kinds of special needs). Sometimes you just need a little help to focus when you're so exhausted and that's what PHP does. They also have something called SibShop which gives siblings of special needs children a non-judgmental forum where they can express their feelings and have fun doing it. It's such a supportive organization.
