Mission: Parental Hope is a 100% voluntary organization operated by a group of individuals who have been personally impacted by infertility and want to help other couples battling infertility in three important ways: 1. While infertility impacts a significant number of couples, it is still considered a taboo subject and lacks mainstream awareness. Parental Hope attempts to educate the community about infertility through events, social media, and traditional media. 2. To help alleviate the roller-coaster of emotions caused by infertility, Parental Hope organizes support groups that focus on couples battling infertility. 3. To help alleviate the financial burden of infertility, Parental Hope provides financial assistance to couples battling infertility by annually awarding one or more Parental Hope Family Grants. The Parental Hope Family Grant covers the cost of one round of IVF for the recipient couple at the Institute for Reproductive Health in Cincinnati, Ohio. Recipients of the Parental Hope Family Grant must have an infertility diagnosis and demonstrate a financial need. In 2016, two Parental Hope Family Grants were given to couples who needed financial assistance to achieve their dream of parenthood.
Results: To date, Parental Hope has awarded three Parental Hope Family Grants which pays for a full cycle of IVF giving couples a chance to achieve parenthood.
