I love supporting the Parelli Foundation because they support three activities that I'm passionate about: 1. Therapeutic Horsemanship - including works with veterans;
2. Youth Horsemanship -- I'm a 4-H Horse leaders and the Foundation has been super helpful in sharing resources we can use with our group, and I found out our kids can apply for scholarships if they want to pursue a career in horsemanship. 3. Horse Welfare - they provide grants to a number of horse rescues. Everyone I've worked with in the organization has been so helpful and generous with time and encouragement.
The Parelli Foundation's administrators are honest and do a wonderful job of distributing funds to those supporting natural horsemanship, horse welfare, and equine-assisted therapeutic programs. I have supported the Foundation since it's inception, and consider the time and finances I have invested to be well-spent and gratifying.
The Parelli Foundation is a spectacular organization that seeks to "make the world a better place for horses and the people who love them." The mission areas of the Foundation are fourfold: Youth Horsemanship, which is about investing in the Future of Horsemanship;
Therapeutic Horsemanship, particularly training therapy horses and staff;
Horse Welfare, communicating with horses in ways they understand; and
Career Scholarships, supporting Natural Horsemanship by assisting the professional development of Licensed Parelli Professionals. Dedicated Foundation officers and volunteers work together year-round planning and executing events which enhance and underwrite the programs that support worthy recipients in their efforts to accomplish the mission.
The Parelli Foundation is a great group of people making the world a better place for horses and the people who love them, one grant or scholarship at a time! We support youth in their natural horsemanship development and future natural horsemanship professionals reach their goals through scholarships. Our grants support horse welfare and therapeutic centers. This year we were excited to introduce a new subset to our therapeutic center grants that we called “Heroes and Horsemanship.” These grants were awarded to facilities offering equine assisted programs for veterans and service members suffering from PTSD or other disorders for whom working with horses could provide healing. I’m so very proud to be affiliated with this group and the great work that it does.
I have long been a supporter and donor before joining this organization's Board of Directors. This charity is the only US charity with a unique mission to promote natural horsemanship. The Foundation raises money for many horse welfare and therapeutic horse programs who are mostly volunteer run and don't have the staff to raise much needed dollars. By supporting the Parelli Foundation you are helping organizations that both give horses a wonderful purpose and promote healing in our veterans and other individuals. I love this charity and am a proud supporter!
The Parelli Foundation is an incredibly unique organization driven to make a positive affect on the lives of horses and humans through four program areas: Horse Welfare grants, Future of Horsemanship scholarships for youth, Career and Equine Talent scholarships and Therapeutic Horsemanship grants, including the Heroes and Horsemanship Initiative.
Whether granting an equine rescue funds to provide horses with professional training or a therapeutic riding center with a clinic to help volunteers better connect with therapeutic mounts, providing resources and equipment to deserving programs through the Lovingly Used Equipment Program, or seeing dreams realized via Career and Future of Horsemanship Scholarships, each of these programs is designed to make a long term impact on the horses and humans on the receiving end, truly making a difference in their lives.
The world needs people with good attitudes. Nothing improves your attitude quite as well as learning natural horsemanship. If you do it right, you become a more aware, focused, and loving person. That's why I like the Parelli Foundation. We support natural horsemanship education.
I love supporting horses! I have supported equine rescues, but have noticed that many don't last long. It is easy to want to help horses, or to want to help people using equine therapy, but not so easy to run a business that doesn't drain the energies and finances. What I love about the Parelli Foundation is that is is steeped in supporting equine education of all sorts, so that equine lovers can be successful in all aspects of following their dreams of giving, and do this in a meaningful way that they will be able to sustain. Parelli Foundation, may you keep growing - Bless You!
The Parelli Foundation is making a lasting impact in the horse community by supporting natural horsemanship education in the areas of Career Scholarships, Therapeutic, Equine Welfare, and Youth. Through education, people and organizations are learning to better understand horse psychology, leading to increased safety, skills, and fun with their equine partners. The services and grants provided by the Foundation help to make sure that finances are not a blocker in the search for excellence by these individuals and organizations. The passion of the team and the donors of the Parelli Foundation is inspiring, as we all work together to help create a better world for horses and humans, and we welcome all who would like to join this exciting journey with us.
Over the past year I have been inspired by reading touching stories about grant recipients. Staff members and all volunteers related to this nonprofit are professional and hard working. My role as a writer and proofreader is rewarding and a good use of my time, I believe. Anyone curious about learning more will find plenty of information on the website.
The Parelli Foundation has generously donated a small natural horsemanship education grant to our nonprofit equine rescue in CA. Animal Guardians Horse Rescue Inc. sincerely appreciates the generosity and support of the Parelli Foundation in helping us increase awareness of positive horse-human relations, to help us get more Shelter horses adopted and more public knowledge of Parelli Natural Horsemanship and the benefits of ground work and relationship-building with horses. Because of this grant fund, we were able to purchase more equipment to use with our training program, as well as take to adoptions outreach programs at the County Shelters to help find homes for unwanted horses at large. We are sincerely grateful and full of admiration for the Parelli Foundation. This is an amazing organization that is willing and able to help other smaller organizations like ours help horses in dire need. Thank you so much!
We are a Guide Star Exchange Gold member non profit that provides educational experiences in Natural Horsemanship for youth and adults to be applied to horse welfare, therapeutics, recreational , equi-business, and both competitive and recreational equestrian endeavors. By providing scholarships and voluntary assistance to attend course, seminars, and clinics nationwide in all these areas, the outreach is significant and the results are long lasting for those who are touched.
Goal of the organization is " Making the world a better place for horses and humans"
I have been involved with horses for many years and was introduced to Natural Horsemanship when my daughters sought it out as a replacement for competition. That was 13 years ago. My family and I have been deeply affected by the Parelli Natural Horsemanship methods. Both of my daughters are now grown and are teachers, my eldest a Professional Natural Horsemanship Instructor.
Time and space here is too short, but in short I will say, I chose to become involved as a volunteer to assist in the many terrific opportunities that the institute offers. Supporting Rehoming (Mustang Rescue), horse welfare projects (Humane Society of America), youth education projects (Summer Camps), and Education (Professional Instructor Training, Recreational Riding, Competitive application) makes a very broad area of volunteer base to support. Myself and many others dedicate our time and efforts to meet the goals of the Institute.
I am truly bessed and honored to be a part
