Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Shelters
Mission: Pacific House (formerly Shelter for the Homeless) provides emergency shelter and meals to men while helping them to become more self-sufficient and find employment and long-term housing. Pacific House is the only regional men's shelter in lower Fairfield County and serves Greenwich, Darien, Stamford and New Canaan.
Results: Annually, more than 550 homeless men turn to the shelter for a safe haven, and additional men are helped through the street Outreach Program. Pacific House also develops and manages 14 permanent supportive affordable housing properties in Stamford and Nowalk, CT that provide a home for 144 formerly homeless men, women and families.
