Occasionally an organization sets an inspirational example for others to follow. Such is the case for the Pablove Foundation that invests in cutting-edge pediatric cancer research while simultaneously helping kids rise beyond cancer as an identity. Pediatric cancer is the second leading cause of death in children under the age of 15. Since its inception, the research program has funded unique medical studies with high payoff. Seed capital has enabled researchers to fine-tune their research strategies and to produce pilot results that lead to more traditional medical research funding and clinical trials. The Pablove Shutterbugs Photography Program offers children an opportunity to develop their creative voice through the art of photography by interacting with master teaching artists and a community of other children. Long before Covid-19 raised its ugly head, these children had to address the realities of social distancing and isolation from their families. Kudos to the Pablove Foundation and all who are making such impressive progress.

When I heard the founding story of Pablove, and about its accomplishments in funding seed grants into cutting edge research into cures for childhood cancer, I looked to do whatever I could to support them. In an ambassador role, it's my honor to tell their story and educate my community about their mission - to not only advance the research, but to offer arts education in photography to kids undergoing treatment. Pablove offers so much hope and with its dual mission, fills a role that other organizations might miss. And the staff and other volunteers I have worked with are truly inspirational! I am so glad they are part of my life.

The Pablove foundation not only follows through with their promises to fight childhood cancer with love, but they excel in creating a community of safety and fun for kids and families that are touched by or battling childhood cancer. I have had the privilege of teaching their incredible Shutterbugs program in the past and seen first hand the impact that learning photography and connecting with other kids has on pediatric cancer patients, their identities, and quality of life. As an educational psychologist PhD candidate with expertise in methodology and program evaluation, I can say with authority that the Pablove Foundation is going above and beyond to push research and thus expand their impact to inform pedagogy and best practices of arts in medicine.

I've been a yearly fundraiser and supporter of the Pablove Foundation since 2012. I believe completely in their mission of awarding seed grants for cutting edge research into pediatric cancer and enriching the lives of children who are battling cancer through their Shutterbugs photography program.

This organization focuses on children with cancer. What I especially love is its 2 fold Mission. The first is to provide a medium through photography to help these children improve their quality of life through expressing themselves via photography. The second is to fund cutting edge cancer research. I have been to two gallery exhibits, one real and one virtual and it is impossible to not have tears in your eyes after visiting. I am proud to support this non profit.
