Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Crime & Law, Domestic Violence
Mission: To help families and children in the community by increasing awareness of child abuse and neglect prevention, providing services to those at risk, advocating public policy to protect children, and helping people realize that child abuse is life threatening.
Programs: 3,825 parents and children benefited from our services. 67% of our families were single parents, 47% were unemployed, 70% had an annual income of less than $17,000, and 79% lacked the education necessary to compete in the job market. While we work with all ethnicities, 43% were hawaiian or part-hawaiian. 89% had an increase in parenting knowledge and our participants gave us a 98% satisfaction rating!
