land stewardship - orlt stewards and manages land and conservation easements to ensure that conservation values are protected. Each conservation easement property is visited annually by project staff and a report is subsequently prepared to document the condition of the property at the time of the visit. For properties owned outright, orlt visits them on a regular schedule to ensure that there are no incursions and to perform ecological management activities. For the largest single landholding, alford forest, orlt makes grants to a related non-profit entity that manages the forest.
