Although the City of Oxnard has allowed this facility to become a little rundown in the last several years, it remains a wonderful location to watch performing arts, gather for meetings of all kinds, and celebrate life's milestones. I have resided in Oxnard since 1980 and OPAC has been an integral part of my life in those 41 years. The theater, now operated by Sterling Venue Ventures, is world-class and I have witness countless concerts, ballets, and civic events (literally more than I can count). The banquet facilities (great for use by wedding receptions, quinceneras, and small conventions) and meeting classrooms fill the needs of a thriving community and all its myriad of activities. It truly belongs to the community.

By serving as an incubator for creative innovation, and assuming a key role in strategic arts planning, OPAC will continue to be a valuable, vibrant, and vital part of Oxnard's cultural life.
Target demographics: We provide a dynamic venue for the community and presents accessible cultural arts experiences that won't be found elsewhere in the City or County. Our cutting-edge events and programs are designed to meet the interests of our residents and visitors - of all ages and backgrounds. Every year we host a robust season of events featuring local and International as well as emerging and distinguished artists who help make Oxnard a vibrant and enriching place to live and visit. From mainstage acts in the theater and campuswide festivals to intimate lectures and workshops, there is something for everybody at OPAC.
Geographic areas served: Our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Oxnard Performing Arts Center Corporation (OPAC), was established in 1998 as the administrative, programming, operations/management, and fundraising arm of the Center. We provide cultural and community programming by supporting, producing and presenting theater, dance, music, media/visual arts, residencies, and outside-the-box programs that are of, by and for Oxnard.
Programs: We commission, employ, and support local artists through: *events and programs *artist-in-residencies and resident companies *access to space, equipment and opportunities, and collaborations. Our Sight + Sound and PACC the Arts festivals and animal welfare convention, RESCUECON, all encourage, showcase and engage local filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists to produce and exhibit their work.
