Growing up in the Pacific NW, winters were all about heading to the mountains to hit the ski slopes with friends and family. After all, the saving grace of endless days of rain and a childhood mantra was, "at least it's snowing in the mountains!" Enjoying all that the PNW offers at our fingertips always been a priority, but I wanted to find a way to give back and share that love of the outdoors with others.
I discovered Outdoors for All about five years ago, and in the time since then, they have become one of the nearest and dearest nonprofits in my life. Their mission is to enrich the quality of life for children and adults with disability through outdoor recreation, and since their founding in 1979 have become a national leader in delivering adaptive and therapeutic recreation. Beyond skiing, they offer a wide variety of programs to over 2,400 children and adults with disabilities per year thanks to their amazing network of over 700 volunteers. Whether volunteering, hitting the slopes, or giving to their foundation each year, Outdoors for All feels like family and their success stories are simply incredible! That's why this #GivingTuesday, I'll be supporting @outdoorsforall.
