Causes: Food, Food, Agriculture & Nutrition
Mission: Our New Way Garden is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization created to educate the public about locally and naturally grown food, increase community access to healthy organic produce, support small local businesses, and provide productive activities and positive sources of income for youth at a time when opportunities are limited.
Results: We have donated hundreds of pounds of food to those in need and have served several hundred students throughout the years.
Target demographics: Individuals from underserved communities (low-income, minorities, differently abled)
Direct beneficiaries per year: 6 non-profits and food pantries across Westchester and over 50 students
Geographic areas served: Westchester County, NY
Programs: CSA program, volunteer program, frequent donations to food pantries, nonprofits and soup kitchens, workshops for schools, custom planting box consultations, and monthly zoom conference for farmers
