Programs: The program provided members of the denver american indian community with psychological services for mental health issues as well as psychological assessments. We assisted american indian families with parenting problems and involvement with child welfare by providing mental health treatment, assistance with healthy parenting, and psychological assessment requested by child welfare courts. Cultural education and advocacy was provided to assist families with county child welfare agencies, child welfare courts, other agencies and schools as required. This information was needed to assist with child safety, parental rights determinations and the provision of accommodations for students in the school system. The purpose is to help american indian families remain intact and for children to be safe and successful at home, in the community and at school.
