What compelled us to create our mentoring program is there is a chronic need for mentoring in our school and especially our homes. Parents needs modeling and need to see what engaging their child looks like. Academic readiness befins at home and our parents need support and education on how to engage their children so they enter formal education socially prepared to communicate the needs of their children. This gives the school a unique ability to address the needs to the community. This also gices the school leverage to resources and services in the commu ity that can directly meet the student and his or her family needs. Our goal is to support the child by mentoring, building relationship with the parents to aid their parenting, and collaborate with the schools to ensure each child in the program is a breast of where they are acedemically.
Our mission is to provide our community with the necessary social, educational , and spiritual enabling individuals to help themselves and future generations. Our Foundation for Children helps over 1000 each year without grant funds. All funds come for neighbors, friends and family. At-Risk children and their families need us and we intend to be there for them.
