Mission: Established to offer music instruction to any person regard- less of age, race, creed, national origin or musical goals, who wishes to learn and perform music on a variety of musi- cal instruments in the washington dc metropolitan area.
Programs: Music instruction-enrollment of 119 students in piano, orchestra, flute, saxophone, clarinet, violin, viola, guitar/ukelele, drums (snare & drum set), little mozart classes (preschoolers age 3 1/2 to 6 yrs - 18 students, choir singing, steel pan, voice and music theory. We had 35 participants in the national guild of piano auditions in may 2017. Offered summer camps for instruments and choral singing. Taught 43 students from contemporary family services in a day camp. Students were from grade 7 to 12. Taught 15 students at the monroe school piano, voice and steel pan. These students have behavioral, psyhological and psychiatric disabilities yet achieved well in the classes. Had 23 performance during the year including an award black history, sound of music, christmas and thanksgiving performances. The final performance was for graduation.
