Thanks to the Ottauquechee Health Foundation we have 'state of the art' health care in our area. After more than 5 years of research and planning sponsored by the Foundation and followed by collaboration with Mt. Ascutney Hospital, a new service exists: Community Care Coordinators. Based at the Ottauquechee Health Center and the Thompson Senior Center, the nurse-social worker team reaches out to patients and families facing a variety of health care needs and helps them find resources to fill those needs. This kind of coordinating role is essential in our modern system for delivering health care.

I have found the OHF to be a wonderful resource in the community. They are very helpful in locating and obtaining unmet health care needs. They are extremely professional and kind and caring individuals. I appreciate their approach to community needs. I am grateful that they provide assistance to those in need. I believe that they are an extremely valuable organization. Many thanks to OHF for their efforts to reach out and bring much needed education and support to the community about the enormous substance abuse problem in our community. Respectfully, Dalene Washburn
