I have volunteered with this organization since 2017, I have never found a group of people with a stronger desire to change veterans' lives and the lives of those who love and care about their veterans. Many organizations discriminate combat v noncombat veterans, but this organization tears down the divide and rekindles the brotherhood that we all once searched for. It provides a safe space for us to be ourselves when some of the outside world might not be able to handle us, as well as gives us the resources to make our civilian transition smoothly and make us productive members OUTSIDE of the military as well.
Talented and passionate people doing incredibly hard work exceptionally well. I have had the honor and privilege to see first hand how they help change lives for the better. They are well deserving of all the help and support we can provide to them in there efforts.
I didn’t realize how much I needed a foundation like Oscar Mike until I met their staff and went to one of their retreats. Noah and his family literally open their own home to veterans and I could not be more grateful. The week I spent there I did some of the most extreme activities I’ve done in my life and it reminded me that I’m still capable.
This foundation and their team are the real deal. They actually put veterans first which can be difficult to find in this arena of non profits. I’ll be a supporter any way I can and will be singing the praises of Oscar Mike to anyone who will listen.
I participated in the women vets retreat and it was an experience of a lifetime! From skydiving to shooting guns and so much more, Oscar Mike helped my mental health in such a way that I was able to feel good about myself again. OM is a great organization that truly helps veterans keep their mind and body on the move!
Oscar Mike has helped me keep moving as a disable Marine. It is a family inside of our military family. When I need something for adaptive sports I know to always call Oscar Mike first.
I have seen first hand hundreds of lives that have been changed by the Oscar Mike Foundation and their programing. The feeling that is ignited for the veterans who come together is something that lasts a lifetime.
I’ve seen the way Oscar Mike changes lives of many firsthand, from wounded veterans who found hope to supporters who found a purpose. I only wish more veterans knew what this organization could do for them.
This is an amazing group of folks lending a big help to our injured veterans. Providing activities and support to keep them on the move. I got introduced to them at a Spartan Race in Texas around 2017 and was very moved when I saw them on course helping those vets crush obstacles. Since then I have encouraged everyone I meet to help support this organization since I have witnessed first hand the work that they do.
This is a story I’ve never told — one of those difficult moments that shaped my life.
At the time, I was Aide de Camp to the Commander of NATO. We were on a routine visit to DC for meetings in the Pentagon and on the Hill.
We were scheduled to visit Marines at Walter Reed that Saturday, but General Jones got called away and couldn’t go. Instead of canceling, I called our contact and asked if I could visit the Marines on my own.
I met with several injured Marines. Some of their injuries were severe, some of them were undergoing multiple surgeries, some were missing limbs and some had severe burns. I didn’t say much. I just listened.
The truth is I didn’t know what to say so I asked questions instead. I asked them where they grew up and about their families. I asked them about their service in the Marine Corps, and I asked them how they got injured.
They, like so many Marines and service members, were some of the bravest people I have ever met. They didn’t want my sympathy or pity. They were just happy I came to see them and grateful that I talked to them as fellow Marines.
I listened and left with a better understanding and empathy, as well as a renewed commitment to make a difference for Veterans and their families one day.
On the way out of the hospital I stopped in the bathroom to cry. It happened again in the taxi, and I sobbed in the hotel that night, too, wishing I could do more for the Marines I met that day.
Fast forward a decade and a half later to last year when I met the founder of Oscar Mike Noah Currier for the first time. I got to know him in conversations where I just listened, too. And over the past few months, I have spent hundreds more hours with Noah, his team, and the #Veterans who Oscar Mike serves.
My perspective has changed because of Noah and the other OM Veterans I have met (and listened to) along the way.
To put it simply: Noah Currier is going to change the world with Oscar Mike, and I’m going to help him because I believe in his mission…. and I believe in him.
Oscar Mike is a charity I trust. It's a charity that helps veterans that have proudly served our country. It's local and all their products are made in the U.S.A. Also; Oscar Mike gives people many ways to get involved. They have parties, charity events, volunteer opportunities, and spartan races.
Oscar Mike helps wounded vets in a very important and special way. They help give purpose and keep these guys and gals active . I have witnessed them first hand working together to help support those that made physical sacrifices for our country. They are a most worthy and excellent cause that I am proud to support.
As a volunteer, I get to see and experience first hand how Oscar Mike keeps our ill, injured and disabled vets "on-the-move." Every dollar donated goes directly toward programs and funding to assist those vets in participating in life changing sporting events. Oscar Mike works toward changing their lives by giving them the ability to not only participate, but they also get to network with others. These vets are able to get away from those dark places they find themselves and move toward a healthier, active lifestyle.
Oscar Mike to me is my inspiration to continue to push myself each and every day to be a better person. Whether that’s physically towards fitness goals or mentally towards working towards my dreams. I push myself to do everything I dream to and have ever wanted to and I honestly all kidding aside a lot of times think of Oscar Mike when I want to give up on my own dreams. Because there are men and women that would love to be in my shoes and have the abilities I have to push limits and reach there goals. There are men and women associated with Oscar Mike who have achieved so much more and pushed themselves for much further and have had to do so with an ailment. Like that to me right there and the family and community that they have grown into makes me so proud to be even the tiny part I get to be of. I can’t wait to see what they achieve in the future and hope to always help play any kind of role I can in their future success and endeavors. Everything Oscar Mike stands for and represents makes me proud to be a part of. ❤️
This is the real deal. This organization began through the eyes of veterans whose lives began again once they experienced the camaraderie , adrenaline, and drive that was pumped back into their bodies and souls through the love of sports and competition. You can help those who have sacrificed their freedoms for ours by getting them Oscar Mike (On the Move).
I have ran Spartan Races for years. In doing so I have heard the name Team Oscar Mike around the festival but never knew who they were. This year I volunteered at the start line of the Fayetteville Spartan Honor Series race. At one point It was a hot day and Rick kept coming over to make sure we had water and we got a chance to talk to them. At 10:00 their team came into the starting corral. There was a great group. Many were able and some adaptive. All were one team. Their entrance stuck with me over the next couple hours of volunteering. After our shift my friend and I hung out in the festival grounds. We were able to see Oscar Mike entering the final obstacles on the course and cross the finish line. It gave me chills. Then I saw Rick and another man embrace. I am sure there were words that were spoken in that moment that only those two know. My friend and I were motivated and we decided to run with them the next day and Nikki got us set up with shirts. That is to this day my favorite race I have been to. It was great.
Oscar Mike has been a wonderful charity to support. They are very approachable and you can engage with the veterans in the program, the other volunteers, the staff and even the founder. They are a passionate group and their enthusiasm makes you want to participate more and more! Plus I love my RED Friday shirts!
I met Oscar Mike three years ago at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Cincinnati. At the time I was four years past my injury and I was living life, but I had yet to find something that would truly challenge me the way life in the Coast Guard did. After our encounter at the games I flew out to Chicago for my first Oscar Mike experience. I spent the next week doing things I had once loved but had not found a way to do since my injury. I was able to find support, find a family, and find purpose. Oscar Mike truly helped get me back on the move, and for that I am forever grateful.
LOVE WHAT OM STANDS FOR. LOVE HOW THEY HELP THOSE WHO HAVE HELPED OUR COUNTRY -HELPED KEEP US SAFE-HELPED MAKE A DIFFERENCE. PLEASE SUPPORT THOSE WHO HAVE SUPPORTED US AND OUR COUNTRY. NOBODY DESERVES OUR HELP MORE THAN OUR VETS
Oscar Mike has been such a multi-faceted experience.
... OM trains injured Vets to be adaptive athletes.
... In this process, volunteers and adaptive athletes find the opportunity to compete together in a team envronment.
... The adaptive athlete and the volunteer community come together through these activities and: enjoy new friendships, learn to support each other, conquer challenges together and stay On the Move.
Volunteering with Oscar Mike has been as big a benefit for me as it hopefully has been for the adaptive athletes, with whom I've run.
#weareoscarmike
The Heroes Series help get me through a lot of tough days. They inspire me to be my best and do my best even when I’m broken.
I can't talk enough about the generosity of Oscar Mike. Being a disabled veteran they've gone out of their way to make me feel welcome, and part of the team. They heard I was planning on going to Colorado with my wofe to run the Spartan race as part of our honeymoon. They offered to pay our way, and even had me as the veteran of honor diring the Spartan Super. The next day my wife and I got to help a quadriplegic veteran complete his first Spartan Sprint. Truly an unforgettable weekend, and I will always support them.
I was first introduced to Oscar Mike through Spartan, as I have been doing Spartan races for about 6 years now. I remember seeing a Spartan Oscar Mike shirt being advertised on their website and, not knowing what it was, did the proper research. As an avid supporter of our military, I went to the Oscar Mike website and ordered 3 shirts as soon as I found out what they’re all about. I have been buying their apparel and gear ever since. I have even bought their stuff as gifts for other people. Why?
Every single member of our military, current or veterans, are true American heroes. They make it possible for us to live in the best freakin country on the planet. What OM does for our injured veterans, however, is amazing. They raise money for our injured heroes so they can stay Oscar mike ( on the move), giving them an ever important outlet and purpose for when they come home. If you follow OM on Instagram, you can see firsthand all of the amazing things OM does. Even though my family is on a single modest income, I will continue to do what I can to give to OM. I love when people ask me what it means when I wear my gear. I will continue to wear my gear often, and when I do my Spartan Races I now wear only Oscar mike shirts. I dedicate every race to our injured heroes. In fact, Oscar Mike even has a “hero series” group of shirts, each one based on a true hero, with their stories printed on the inside of the shirt. I have made it my mission to buy every single one of those. I will wear them during races, and run for them.
In summary, Oscar Mike is pretty much the only nonprofit that I give my money to (I do support wounded warriors as well). Their message is so important, keeping our injured heroes Oscar Mike. I will be an OM supporter for he rest of my existence. OM for life!
Tango Yankee, OM. For everything that you do.
Being a volunteer for this organization has greatly helped me become who I am today. The people involved in the Oscar Mike Foundation are the greatest people I have ever worked with. Being a part of this family has been the greatest thing I have been a part of at this point in my life.
What an amazing foundation! My bro is on your OM team and he has the best time competing with his OM teammates! Thank you for everything y’all do for all of our veterans!
I first heard about OSCARMIKE a few months ago and started doing some research on it. I then got the opportunity to visit the compound and see personally what they’re really all about, to see behind the curtains, and that is helping wounded veterans to see and or find their true self. We always focus on the disabilities or the things we CAN’t do due to physical or mental limitations. OSCARMIKE helps our wounded brothers and sisters find their strength and to put emphasis on the things they CAN DO rather than to focus on the limitations. The OSCARMIKE Team is amazing and they do not sugar coat it, they will push you to the limit to bring the inner you, to help you value yourself and the things you’re able to do. And if you don’t know what those things are, they will help you find them. They will help you get over your fears, they will help you get off the floor and get back up. They do this because they care, because they know we all deserve a second chance, they do this because they know how valuable we all are once we find our inner self and our strength.
Thank you guys for everything you guys do and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this team, this family. This program is amazing and what you guys do goes above and beyond. Once again, thank you and let’s stay On the Move. OSCARMIKE!
Sincerely:
Marcelo Rubalcava

Oscar Mike has changed my life. I am blessed enough to have been a part of a few events in the past year and hopefully many many more this year. I have nothing but the upmost respect & love for everyone at Oscar Mike, They are truly wonderful. Best non profit out there. #WEAREOSCARMIKE
I got the chance to spend the last week with the amazing people of Oscar Mike. I cant tell you how much that short amount of time changed my life. I have suffered from chronic pain for over 7 years, often leading to depression and anxiety. It was nice to find a place where I could relax and be surrounded by people who understand. I have not felt this good physically or emotionally in a long time, and that alone should tell you everything you need to know. If you are on the fence, or nervous about reaching out, dont be. Trust me when I tell you it was the best thing I have ever done. If you are looking for a charity to give to this is the one! Thank you Oscar Mike for changing my life.
