Mission: Onic's primary exempt purpose is to lessen the burden of government, relieve the poor and distressed, promote social welfare and combat community deterioration.
Programs: Onic directly operates 786 units of affordable rental housing, serves as general partner of an entity which owns an additional 266 units of affordable rental housing, and owns and leases commercial retail space in an economically distressed area of orlando.
onic's resident services program coordinates a range of enhanced services and programs for residents with the purpose of increasing their quality of life. The program provides opportunities for both youth and adult residents to participate in initiatives for recreation, education, skill building, leadership development, independence and self sufficiency. The resident services program uses community partnerships and collaborations supplemented by grants to deliver its activities. During the reporting period, onic's activities served 1796 participants and attracted 3470 hours of volunteer service.
onic is an award winning leader in building and operating high quality affordable rental homes in central florida. Since 1989, onic has participated (as developer or partner) in 24 communities in central florida, representing 2856 residential units. During the reporting period, onic continued efforts associated with the renovation of a 30 unit property.
