My kids have been members of the Oregon Grand Prix youth bowling program for over 2 years now. We are very excited as every year we see their scholarships for college grow as they do their normal participation in a sport that they love. Bowling as a youth sport has taught them much both in personal growth and how to work as a team towards a goal. They love being able to be indoors to participate in the cold, wet and the hot and dry times. This foundation has given them the encouragement to grow while earning money even at their young ages (12 and 11) towards college and their future. They don't have to do anything except participate in bowling and bowling activities and they earn scholarship money for their future. They have opportunities to be leaders in their leagues, show responsibility by helping out other bowlers, and just have fun while participating in a way that will later help pay for a bill that we all know is getting larger by the year. As a parent I just want to thank the organization for all they do and I hope that others will take the opportunity to let their kids participate in the program through their local bowling alleys or take the time to donate to a foundation that helps kids obtain the goal of paying for college through participation in bowling.
