Mission: Incorporated on august 26, 2009, orange county hdfc has been organized exclusively for the charitable purpose of providing housing accomodations for persons and families of low income, as defined in section 2 of the private housing finance law, which housing accomodations shall be situated in the county of orange, state of n. Y. , and other such locations as the board of directors may from time to time determine. Orange county hdfc's mission is to create affordable housing and revitalize neighborhoods throughout the orange county community. Working with the orange county office of community development and non-profit organizations such as habitat for humanity of greater newburg, regional economic community action program, and the orange county rural development advisory corporation, the program focuses in areas of greatest need throughout orange county and calls for acquisition and rehabilitation of 96 units in middletown, newburg, and port jervis.
