Mission: Orange County Coastkeeper (Coastkeeper) is a California non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of California marine habitats and watersheds through programs of education, advocacy, restoration and enforcement.
Target demographics: educate adults and kids on water quality and its impact on the environment.
Geographic areas served: Orange County and Inland Empire
Programs: Enforcement the organization monitors, on land and on water, any pollution that occurs during rain events or through any other activity throughout the region. These include polluted runoff from construction sites, scrap yards, and any other industrial site. When polluted discharges are consistently out of compliance with state and federal water laws, the organization initiates federal litigation against violators.
