Mission: Keeping at-risk youth out of jail,
Programs: Juvenile crime prevention/substance abuse intervention: shortstop, programa shortstop, are taught by volunteer attorneys and legal professionals to approximately 1,600 youths and their families. Stop short of addiction: an intensive program designed to specifically address the needs of first-time juvenile offenders arrested for criminal offenses as well as those having drug abuse problems.
health education: provides hiv education and risk reduction program for young latinas ages 15-25. Also a young latina health program designed to prevent incidents of injury and violence for santa ana latina youth between the ages of 11 and 15 who are exhibiting conduct problems at their schools.
academic and career development: targets santa ana high school boys and girls interested in college but need assistance due to cultural and gender barriers and limited resources. Project self allows selected students to participate in an 8 week summer paid intership at local law firms, government agencies or local businesses.
