Mission: Opportunity Enterprises is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization located in Valparaiso, Indiana, that is devoted to creating sustainable life choices and opportunities for individuals with unique challenges and abilities. Incorporated in 1967, Opportunity Enterprises currently provides early intervention, transportation, residential, occupational, and educational support services to more than 1,000 children and adults with developmental, emotional, and/or physical disabilities in Northwest Indiana.

Programs: Opportunity enterprises, inc. Provides a variety of services to individuals in their residence. The agency currently operates seven group homes dedicated to serving individuals with a range of mild to severe and profound developmental disabilities. The homes provide a natural, non-clinical setting to foster a sense of familial comfort and stability for our residents. The group homes currently support six or eight residents per home, to optimize opportunities for individual and group training in areas of daily living, leisure skills, and community integration, and also supports individuals in group homes with additional medical and nutritional support. In addition, the agency also has a supported living program, which provides support to adults with disabilities who want to live in their own apartment or home. Participants receive support on an as-needed basis through individualized programs developed and implemented to specific needs. Finally, the agency provides respite services, which are designated by the state to be "relief of the primary caregiver".
