Mission: Help in the elimination of unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy so that people of all colors and creeds can live their lives with greater human dignity.
Programs: The low-income home energy & weatherization assistance program: help families with low income to have heat during winter heating months, weatherize their homes to improve energy efficiency, and assist with repair to non-working heat sources. This program assisted 18,921 individuals in 2017. The national farmworker jobs program provides employment-related services to eligible seasonal migrant farmworkers and their families in Washington state. It is estimated that the program has assisted about 850 individuals in 2017. Other program services: community block grants, Avista LIRP, asset building, home investment, basic foods, educational programs, and various other energy & weatherization-related programs. These various programs served approximately 41,490 individuals in 2017.
