OVN is an amazing and unique organization that does more than just exist for the sake of veterans. They are present, committed and dedicated to our veterans’ mental health and wellbeing. Through their team of athlete ambassadors, they demonstrate how sports have been a successful outlet for veterans. These athletes further the mission by going out and inviting veterans to join them in their sport or help them find resources that provide a mental outlet. OVN is exactly what their name stands for: Operation Vets Now, Helping our veterans NOW!
OVN is an amazing non profit organization with great support and views for the future. I am so proud to be an ambassador athlete with OVN and help represent and support the mission. Being a part of a professional team using various sports to connect with the veteran population is a great way to spread the message and initiate conversations.
I am proud to say that I have and am volunteering with this organization for a few years. The admiration given to the veterans and their families is so amazing and sincere. I have the privilege to meet and work with Gold Star families. The Audrey family (being Vets themselves) do everything possible to keep the memory of every veteran alive or dead remembered… May God Bless them.
I have been a Board Member since OVN's inception and have seen the growth in reaching our veterans and their families each and every year. Helping to reduce the suicide rate among our veterans is a top priority and we help guide those in need to any and all resources at our disposal. OVN's founder, Tony Aubrey, has been an inspiration to watch as he guides and grows what OVN is able to accomplish.
being a part of OVN is important to me because they are there to help veterans get the resources they may need for any help or assistance that they need, OVN also has the fallen heroes tribute project that is a necessity. It allows us to honor our fallen heroes and to bring some light to those families affected when they attend our fallen heroes events. OVN also helps all of their ambassador athletes with achieving our therapy through our respective sports, they help out with all sorts of things we may need through our seasons. OVN is a huge necessity in the veteran community.
OVN helps veterans from all branches achieve success in the sport they we love. It is therapy for us all and we need it. OVN sees us through the events and there for us whenever we need them.
OVN is dedicated to the outreach and care of veterans and brings an honest and persistent message on educating the population on mental health struggles, sharing and connecting veterans to resources as well as getting our brothers and sisters to other veterans and military who share a passion for sports. Tony and company, along with all the volunteers and ambassador athletes are always representing veterans and always remembering those past and present. This is a non profit that you should get behind. Too many folks go without that connection after exiting military service. So many do not have outlets, but have curiosity and dormant passions in sports and competition. Definitely take the time to read up about OVN and support!
Volunteering with Tony and all of the OVN holds immense power in making a positive impact, fostering personal growth, and building stronger communities. It is not only an act of selflessness but also an opportunity for me to contribute to a cause that resonate with my passions and interests. Regardless of my backgrounds, skills, or resources, each and every one of us has the ability to create change through giving back. When I volunteer, I step outside of my own life and immerse myself in the lives of others.
I have attended several events put on by OVN and see first hand the impact it has on the fallen heroes being honored families and attendees alike. They make sure those we've lost serving their country are not forgotten and to ensure those still with us are provided the care and attention they need to lead a purposeful and rewarding life post military. It's so easy to forget the sacrifices and suffering faced by our service members so it's extremely important for organizations like OVN to be out there fighting the good fight.
It is difficult to put into words my experience as a volunteer for Operation Vet Now (OVN). These folks put their heart and soul into everything they do. When I started as a volunteer with OVN, I had very little knowledge of what they do. Now, 3 years later, I am honored to be a part of this group in any capacity. Honoring veterans and Gold Star families, listening to the families speak about their loved ones, remembering them through stories, the coming together of friends and families, communities, businesses, and local veterans' groups to support our veterans and their families with OVN at the helm, it is something to behold.
Seeing the events this organization puts on is amazing. All volunteers, and they put on an event to be proud of when we are honoring those that we lost, and equally important, the families of those we lost. I've seen family members of servicemembers we lost many years ago well up with pride and gratitude and get a chance to know that we will never forget the sacrifices they made, despite many years since losing their loved one. Class act organization!!
Operation Vet Now has given me a voice to a community and a purpose. When I left active duty it was challenging with job searching, figuring out benefits, navigating the VA, and getting back into the civilian life structure. OVN was there every step of the way making crisis lines known and available and teaming up with others.
Operation Vet Now provides crucial support in preventing veteran suicide, offering vital resources and assistance for a healthy transition to civilian life. Their dedication to the well-being of veterans is truly commendable, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need.
Tony and his crew are the real deal! I work in the Veteran community and am VERY hard pressed to find another organization that cars so much about preventing suicide. They are active, expansive, and very collaborative. The OVN crew, ambassador athletes, and volunteers are reliable, supportive in the mission. OVN is exemplary in the nonprofit world and are good stewards of the money they are entrusted with for their mission.
I've seen Operation Vet Now, first hand help vet's deal with issues, by providing solutions to complex post service challenges.
OVN has a vast network of groups who can help our vets in critical times of their lives. OVN is also run by vets ,who have a deep sense of understanding and a vast array of groups who are set up to help. OVN helps with awareness of the problems our vets face. It's a serious growing situation, that we must deal with and OVN has stepped up to solve it. We simply owe it to our vets, for the service they provide to America.
Never have I met an organization more-determined in support of Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, and their families than Operation Vet NOW (OVN).
Their philosophy in doing whatever is needed in 'seeking out' those in need (versus waiting for those in need to 'reach-out') is extremely impactful, thus meaningful and successful.
Great organization comprised of incredible people.
Operation Vet Now held a memorial service for a special family and our community honoring Sgt 1st Class Filmore this summer. The planning and dedication of their volunteers was amazing and the ceremony they provided was very well received by all. We were very thankful that they came to us with the idea of honoring this particular individual as Sgt. 1st Class Filmore's story has been nationally recognized as a tragic Somalian fatality with others who were lost in this fight with honor. The family and our community lives this loss every day, and OVN recognizes that these losses of our soldiers and loved ones need to be honored and remembered always. Their memorial service meant so very much to the family and our community! They recognize that all of our military members who have tragically been lost in war or maneuvers should never be forgotten and they support all veterans who have served our country with honor. Their mission is exceptional!
We have sponsored many events that provide resources to our Vets and their families, especially those suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. We have also had the honor of recognizing many Gold Star families and honoring our fallen heroes through our Honorary Athlete Program. Top notch, totally volunteer program with a heart for our military.

OVN has done a wonderful job of supporting military members, veterans, and their families by connecting them with any resources that they need. Tony and the OVN team/board are constantly communicating with their Ambassadors and including them in brainstorming how Team OVN can do more to support their target community through business and non-profit networking, community outreach, and engagement.
An amazing organization that helps our Veterans, and a huge shout out to their efforts to honor and remember those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our county. For an organization of it's size they are incredible, it does many things large non-profits wish they could do with such professionalism.
