Mission: To reduce pet overpopulation and the
Programs: In 2017, operation: snip spayed and neutered over 2,443 cats and dogs. Wellness care was provided to 2,550 animals. The organization created a program called fixed pinellas to assist low income families and rescue groups with services at reduced costs such as spay, neuter and well care. The organization also targets mother cats and their kittens for spay and neuter services to reduce unsterilized kittens being posted on rehoming sites on the internet. Operation: snip also is working with pinellas county animal services to provide spay, neuter and yearly preventative care to veteran's pets. Operation: snip was awarded the florida animal friends grant and the pinellas county animal services animal welfare trust grant to continue our mission helping low income families. The animal welfare trust fund grant also provided funds to spay and neuter 100 feral community cats through out trap neuter vaccinate and release program. Operation: snip is closely working with a newly formed rescue organization called compassion kind, assisting them in spaying and neutering dogs and cats rescued from puerto rico after hurricane irma.
