I felt welcomed by Cas, Cassandra on my first time walking the alpacas and llamas. I learned a lot by these species and enjoyed my walk with wonderful group of humans and no humans. We walked towards Riparian Preserves then to Karl’s farmWhere we fed the cattle’s, pigs, goats and dogs. Then we walked back to their home and I enjoyed hanging out with the other farm animals: chickens, dogs, goats, sheep’s, pigs and more adorable animals.

So many great programs unfolding. There are different resources and events for every Veteran. Alpaca Therapy Walks, PAWSS, Tapping, and so much more. They are IN with all of the major local resources... if they don't offer it, it's all about the warm hand-off. Great org. New leadership, new events, and now... new workshops coming... So excited!!

This non profit is reaching out to various groups of people throughout the valley of Phoenix to raise awareness of suicide within the veteran community. They arm people with tools and techniques to recognize suicidal tendencies and distress and to help prevent it. We could improve by possibly receiving the funding to diversify our methods of reaching out to the masses to reach and inform them about suicide.

OSW is speaking on a much needed topic that no one wants to touch - veteran suicide. The conversations are being approached with their help and if we can save one life...that is what OSW is all about. Reducing the vet suicide rate is their expertise.

I have personal knowledge of suicides that have been prevented due to the mentorship of these folks. They give struggling vets and their family the tools they need to overcome / manage PTSD. The workshops they do for the community help so many to understand what the vets are going through. These people literally save lives.
